As salaamu alaikum, Is a person considered to be a traveller at his parents place. Say for example, my parents live far away and that i am only visiting them for a day, would i have to offer the complete prayer or am i a traveller? I am asking this question because within the pakistani community (well surely the people i know) a person is not considered a traveller at his parents place. They should offer the complete prayer??? Clarification required. JazakAllahu khair. Wa alaikum as salaam "And repent to Allaah, all of you, O you believers, so that perhaps you will be successful." [An-Noor (24):31]

Are you the same Abdul Baasit who lives in Slough and who has made hajr of the maktaba and the salafis in the town, and have treid to create doubts amongst the newer salafis about the bookstore and the salafis there, specifically with regards to their position on the devaint imaam of Slough Central masjid, the imaam who was made tabdee' of by Shaykh Ubaid al-Jaabiree (hafidhullaah) and Shaykh Muhammad al-Banna (hafidhullaah), and you have companionship with the known and staunch deobandis/tableeghis in the town. Please clarify? Rayhaan

Bismillah was-salaatu was-salaam 'alaa rasoolullaah The following quotes were taken from the article 'Judging A Claimant to Salafiyyah By His Companionship' by SalafiPublications.Com Article ID : SLF020005 [2463] "The Salaf Would Make A Judgement of an Invididual By His Companionship", in "Lumm ad-Durr al-Manthoor", checked, and revised by Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan. Ibn Mas?ood - radiallaahu anhu - said, "Indeed a person walks alongside and accompanies the one whom he loves and who is like him." Al-Ibaanah (2/476) Abu ad-Dardaa - radiallaahu anhu - said, "It is from the fiqh (understanding of a person) that he [chooses] those whom he walks with, whom he enters upon (visits) and whom he sits with." Al-Ibaanah (2/477) Yahyaa bin Katheer said, "Sulaimaan bin Daawood ? alaihis salaam ? said: Do no pass a judgement over anyone with anything until you see whom he befriends." Al-Ibaanah (2/464) Imaam Al-Awzaa?ee said, "Whoever hides his innovation from us will not be able to hide his companionship from us." Al-Ibaanah (2/476) Al-A?mash said, "They (the Salaf) did not used to ask anything more about a person after having asked about three affairs: Who he walks with, who he enters upon (i.e. visits) and who he associates with amongst the people." Al-Ibaanah (2/478) Muhammad bin Ubaid al-Ghulaabee said, "The Ahl ul-Ahwaa (People of Desires) hide everything except their intimate friendship and companionship." Al-Ibaanah (2/482) Mu?aadh bin Mu?aadh said to Yahyaa bin Sa?eed, "O Abu Sa?eed! A person may hide his viewpoint from us, but he will not be able to hide that in his son, or his friend or in the one whom he sits with." Al-Ibaanah (2/437) Ibn ?Awn said, "Those who sit with the People of Innovation are more severe upon us than the People of Innovation themselves." Al-Ibaanah (2/273) Abu Dawood as-Sijistaanee said, "I said to Abu Abdullaah Ahmad bin Hanbal: I see a man from Ahl us-Sunnah with a man from Ahl ul-Bid?ah. Shall I leave his speaking to him? He said, ?No, inform him that the man that you saw him with is a person of innovation, so if he leaves him, then speak to him, otherwise treat him the same as him, as Ibn Ma?sood said, ?A man is like his companion?." Tabaqaat ul-Hanaabilah (1/160) ?Utbah al-Ghulaam said, "Whoever is not with us, then he is against us". Al-Ibaanah (2/437) And when you have understood and reflected upon the way of the Salaf in the narrations above and resolved yourself to become and remain a "hardcore Athari", a follower of the narrations, and show your loyalty and disownment for the Salafis, the true Salafis, those upon the aqeedah and manhaj of the Salaf, those who maintain it and defend it and raise it ?while the Innovators and their Allies try to destroy it ? then you will have acquired a great deal of good, and you will have distanced yourself from the paths that deviate from the Straight Path, and you will not bite at your hands on the Day of Judgement, wishing you had taken a path with the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) rather than the paths of Innovation and Hizbiyyah and its rowdies. May Allaah guide me and you all and keep us on the Straight Path. Ameen. Shiraz wassalaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu SalafiBookstore, Slough

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Iam pretty sure it is Akhi Rayhaan, the username is of the same Abdul Baasit who resides in Slough. Isn't it AJEEB how an individual who has created this mischief, deems it possible that he can aquire clarification using this invaluable service and yet be on two ends of the spectrum telling half baked tales from one ear to another ear! Iam sure this would have hurt this Brother, but the MANHAJ is clear on this issue, therefore if you have sought repentance, clarified your position and rendered you companionship then where is it? I can't see it? Can you? Turn submitting, treading humbly within this blessed path with patience and gratitude seeking the pleasure of Allaah Subhanahu Wata'aalaa. Posted by Hasan as-Salafee London, UK Imaam al-Awzaa'ee said, "Patiently restrict yourselves to the sunnah, stop where the people stopped, say what they said, avoid what they avoided. Take to the path of the salaf, for indeed what was sufficient for them was sufficient for you."

Bismillaah was salaatu was salaamu 'alaa rasoolillaah, wa ba'ad; assalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu It is clear now to us in Slough that this individual (Abu Aasia Abdul Baasit Ibn Yaaseen Malik) is not really interested in making tawbah, announce it and change his ways, and return back to salafiyyah whole-heartedly - and how many from those following their desires have ever returned back, indeed how many times an arrow has returned back to the bow?! Recently we have found out that this individual commented to one of the salafi brothers, who happens to be his cousin, that the salafis are harsh, lack wisdom and are limited in knowledge + other miskeen statements which are not even worth mentioning here! What angle is he coming from here??? A salafi will know, especially since the innovations of "tamyee'", "vast manhaj" and "correct and not destroy", and its carriers have become apparent in recent times, and may Allaah reward and preserve our 'ulema for doing this, aameen. I would urge our admin brothers on Salafitalk to remove the likes of this wretched individual whose whole intent is marauding menace, and destroy the sacred manhaj just because it doesn't suit their sick and evil desires, and the perversions they carry in their hearts, wallaahu musta'an. I would also urge the brothers who are aware of those sick individuals who are khalafee in their manhaj and use this invaluable website to get clarification on matters they want clarifications on, to be named to the admin so that they can also be barred, and Allaah knows best. wassalaamu'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu Rayhaan
