as-Salaamu 'alaykum -
About three days ago we heard from our brother Abu Ziyad Khaalid Baa Qays that Shaykh Rabee' was to undergo surgery. Al-hamdulillaah, the shaykh underwent the surgery and is recovering well, according to Aboo Ishaaq Nadeem, who just sat with the shaykh in his hospital room in Jeddah for about a half hour. He said that the shaykh, even while recovering from surgery does not cease to ask about the affairs of the da'wah. He relayed to me just a couple minutes ago that the shaykh's recovery is going well, al-hamdulillaah, and he may be released from the hospital today, wallaahu a'lam.
May Allaah heal our shaykh with a complete healing that leaves behind no trace of illness.

Sufyaan Ath-Thawree (d. 161H) said, "Hence you must take to the original affair, hold tight to it, and you should take to being unknown, for indeed this is the age to remain unknown. And take to remaining aloof, secluded, and associating little with the people, because when people used to meet, some of them would benefit the others. May Allah answer this du'aa for our shaikh Rabee Ibn'Hadee Al-Madhkalee (hafithahu'Llah), "may Allah heal shaikh Rabee with full health and no trace of illness," Ameen!!!

The shaykh's recovery has gone well, and he is expected to return from the hospital today, the 7th of Safar... May Allaah preserve him.
