The brothers @ Masjid As-Sahaba are looking for a brother or brothers who are willing to sell/copy and sell as many available tapes from Shaikh Muqbil ibnu'Hadee Al-Waadi'ee (Rahima'hu'Llah) they may have to the masjid for the tape library. In arabic or arabic and translated. Please PM me with your information for me to pass along to Masjid As-Sahaba in Columbus, Ohio.

as-salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,
in the basement of the tableeghee masjid here, there are several salafee books and tapes, including tapes of sh. muqbil, being locked away in a library that was not used when i went there and probably is still not being used. there are arabic tapes of bin baaz, al-albaanee, and muqbil. there are arabic books like ad-da'eefah of al-albaanee, majmoo'ul-fataawa of ibn taymiyyah, and tafseer ibn katheer. in some cases complete sets. we had thought about contacting the imaam there to try and negotiate for the release of these hostages, but are unsure if we/how we should go about doing that. if someone could answer this for us, we would be happy to give the books and tapes to those who need them, inshaa-allaah.

Naam, I second that question! The salafis could DEFINITELY benefit from these books and tapes, those tablighiyeen will only continue to let that 'elm collect dust and deteriorate. Maybe offer to buy the books and tapes from them, Allahu'A'lum, cause they ain't gonna do anything wit'em wal'Llahi!!

as-Salaamu Alaikum
Here in Michigan, myself and a few other brothers encountered the same situation. The local masjid of Deviants had plenty of Tapes and Books by many of the Major Scholars all locked away and collecting dust.
These deviants do however allow the materials to be "signed out" and taken home as long as you fill out a form stating your name, phone number etc., and promise to return them in one week.
So a couple of the brothers here have begun to "sign out" the tapes and have been making copies (for personal use, not for the purpose of selling) and then returning them. And this is how we have been gaining access to some of these rare jewels. The "committee" members of the masjid don't seem to mind as long as these materials are returned back to their hiding place and not exposed to the jamaa'at at large.
Maybe you could simply ask to "sign out" the tapes like we did.
