as-Salaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh:

The administration of ST has requested the following from us:

SalafiTalk requests all members to update their preferences page which is accessible after logging in. Your identity fields should be completed along with location.

This requires;

a) your kunya
b) your name and father's name
c) either your city or state, and your country.

An example is given below:

Abu Muhammad Ahmad bin Abdul-Lateef
London, UK

This information will be displayed the top of all of your posts commencing very shortly. However, members will be given a one-week time period to perform this simple task. This is the first technical change that has been implemented. A second policy will be introduced after the first one has been completed and implemented inshaa'allaah.

May Allaah reward them for their eagerness to fulfill the advice of our scholars, and may Allaah increase them and their work in goodness.

[I post this as a seperate post since the original was in the forum specific for moderators and administrators and I was not able to reply to it.]

Moosaa ibn John ibn ? Richardson (will search for my grandfather's name in shaa' Allaah)

سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك
أشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت
أستغفرك وأتوب إليك

Akhee Moosaa, from your signature, is it just your personal view to add your grandfather's name or should we also try to name our grandfathers. I'm asking this as the new policy only requires the mention of the name of ones father. Jazak Allahu khair.
