As-Salaamu'Alaikum,

The hadith pertaining the position of the finger in the salaah, being stiff/straight through the tashahud in the book of salaah (I think it's called Sifatus'Salaat an-Nabee) by Shaikh Bin'Baz and the moving of the finger, wiggling the finger in the tashahud in the book by Shaikh Al-Albani (The Prophets Prayer Described), if I'm not mistaked both hadiths are on the authority of Wa'il Ibnu'Hujr (peace be upon him). With these two major scholars from the kibarul'ulamah upon separate methods of performing an act in the salaah, should we, in following the 'ulamah, do both, meaning in Thuhr' keep the finger straight and in 'Asr, for example, move the finger?

Baarak-Allaahu Feekum - wa sal-Allaahu wa-sallam 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammad,
was-Salaam 'alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuh.

As-Salaamu'Alaikum, Jazaak Allahu'khair akhi Denmarki for the correction, I wasn't sure. Insha-Allah the brothers and du'aat can help bring light to our search for dhaleel in this matter.

I also wanted to again add that my initial question was meant to be 'The finger in salaah during the tashahud,' please excuse the typo if it would affect the question being answered pertinently.

As-Salaamu'Alaikum,

Barak'Allahu'feek. This link and the dhaleel listed within it by the akh Shahid Williams (hafithahu'Llah) is exactly what I needed. Barak'Allahu'feekum jami'aan.
