salaam alaykum, akhi have you read the book by shaykhul islaam ibn taymiyah rahimhamullah, published by Al-Hidaayah entitled " Introduction to the science of tafseer" or something similar to this, book can be purchased from SPUBS.
i read the shaykhs rahimhamullah sometime back and what i recall was that he gave a detail set of conditions before using Israa'eeliyaat narrations.
if i remember correctly he said (in my words):
1)that the narrations from them are supported by Qur'aan and sunnah
2)that we affirm them if supported by the above
3)that we dont affirm nor negate if they are not supported by the above
4)that we reject if it is in clear contradiction to the above
