As-salaamu alaikum Brothers and Sisters,
In January of 2003, Masjid Al Qawiyy, after giving its bayaan, had an opportunity to sit in the presence of the noble Sheikh Fawzee Al-Atharee (hafidhahullaah) of Bahrain, as well as in the presence of brothers Abu
'Abdillaah Hassan As-Somali and Abu Muhammad Al-Jamaiky. At that time, the Sheikh accepted the bayaan of the Imam, Abdul Mubdee Shakir, as well as the Masjid.
Since that time, the Masjid has been in its phase of reconstruction, building and strengthening its base of Aqeedah and Minhaj. Subsequent to giving the bayaan and during this phase of rectification, the name change has always been discussed.
We feel it appropriate at this time, 9 months later, on 1 Shaban 1424 A.H., after strengthening our knowledge of Aqeedah and Minhaj, as well as our Mawqif (position), to take on the name of Masjid Ahlul Hadeeth.
This, our noble brothers and sisters, is the fruits of our repentance and our bayaan. We pray that Allah Jalla wa Ala accepts it from us and continues to keep us firmly entrenched upon correctness.

"With good manners you understand the knowledge. With the knowledge, your actions are corrected. With actions, wisdom is obtained. With wisdom you understand zuhd (abstinence) and are granted its benefits. With zuhd comes abandoning the world. With abandoning the world comes desire for the Hereafter. With desire for the Hereafter the pleasure of Allaah ? the Mighty and Majestic ? is obtained." Iqtidaa`ul ?Ilmil ?Amal (no. 31).
