| The Muftee of the South, Ahmad an-Najmee Praises and Defends Saalih al-Fawzaan and Saalih Aal ash-Shaykh |

Questioner: Our Shaykh, what is your opinion about those who say that ash-Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan and ash-Shaykh Saalih Aal ash-Shaykh, may Allaah The Most High preserve them, have errors in ?aqeedah, and that some of the speech of ash-Shaykh al-Fawzaan in the issue of Eemaan opposes the speech of Shaykh Bin Baaz and Albaanee, and Ibn ?Uthaymeen, may Allaah The Most High have mercy on them, and that it opposes the speech of the Salaf, and who likewise advises to keep away from some of the explanations of ash-Shaykh al-Fawzaan may Allaah The Most High preserve him, such his explanation of Masaa?il ul-Jaahiliyyah by Shaykh ul-Islaam Muhammad Bin ?Abdil-Wahhaab? And how should [our] treatment be towards whosoever says speech like this?
Shaykh an-Najmee: I say that this speech is a lie and fabrication.
Questioner: Allaahu Akbar.
Shaykh an-Najmee: Yes, ash-Shaykh al-Fawzaan is a man who is a Salafee, a great Scholar, and ash-Shaykh Saalih Bin ?Abdil-?Azeez, the Minister, is also like that (i.e. a Salafee and great Scholar). As for the errors, then not a single person is free from them. As for him saying that they have errors in ?aqeedah, and that he advises not reading from them, then this person has some objective in this speech, and his speech is not to be listened to nor taken from?
?Questioner: And how should [our] treatment be towards whosoever says speech like this?
Shaykh an-Najmee: He is to be advised, but if he continues upon that which he is upon, then he is a hizbee.
Questioner: Allaahu Akbar.
Shaykh an-Najmee: And those who speak about Ahl us-Sunnah, this is a proof that they are hizbiyyeen.
