Asalaamu alaikum,

Below is a message texted by one of the admin in the salafi rooms on paltalk to salafis.

Asalam Alykom wa rahmat Allah wa barakatoh

Thesedays, many wirting rooms (those  rooms with thr red maron background) exsited in paltalk

so, most of them are owned by people of sherk and bed'a and they are very active in rising these room up to show there manhaj. After that we though about that and we should not let people of shirk to rise there da'wa as we can, so we opened three writing rooms and we encourege you all as muslims to join these salafi groups to rise them up. and they are in the following points

1- Assalfou - Assailh - Houm Al Firqah -Anajia(1) - in Islam section

2- Live Salafi Duroos - Arabic section

3- Salafi Athari room  -  Middle East section

and it is possible to join three of them (the wirting rooms) in one time and also to join Voice enable rooms as well.

and jazakom Allah Khair

wa 'alaykumus-salaamu wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh

In shaa' Allaah, I trust our salafee brothers intend well, and I ask Allaah to reward them for their love for Allaah's Deen, but I have to ask the following question(s):

From what I understand, the text room is opened to allow a large number of people to sit in it while they really attend another voice room, based on PalTalk's rules that you can only attend one voice room but as many text rooms as you want.  Is not the attempt in this to show the people that we have large numbers, or even more numbers than rooms set up by the people of innovation?

Furthermore, a naturally resulting question is:  Is it from the manhaj of the Salaf in calling to Allaah that we use the number of the people upon the Truth as a proof for the correctness of our da'wah?  Or are the proofs for the correctness of our da'wah found elsewhere, in the texts of the Book and the Sunnah and the understanding of the early imaams?

I put this question out, hoping to hear an answer, may Allaah grant us all success...

Assalaamu'alaykum wa rahmatullaah

I can't speak on behalf of the all Salafee text rooms but I can relay that the Salafi Duroos text room in the Arabic section was put there to publicise their duroos that take place in the Islam section.  Information about the duroos automatically pops up on entering the room.  I thought that having a larger number of people in the room was just so that it is higher up on the long list of rooms in this section and therefore more visible to those having a quick browse and not for the purpose of trying to prove that Salafiyah is Haqq merely by having more numbers/rooms.  I thought this was the intention, wallaahu Alam.

All those in the room apart from admin are supposed to be red-dotted to avoid debate although this has known not to work sometimes due to technicalities out of the administators' hands.  I don't know if this has been addressed and corrected.  The room has been blue dotted in the past during an Arabic lesson to allow the students to interact with the teacher.  This is all I can contribute to what has been said.

I hope others can add advice or guidelines for such rooms perhaps after consulting ahlal 'ilm.  Wallaahu Ta'aalaa Alam.

Wassalaam

Asalaamu alaikum,

Jazak Allahu khairun for raising and reminding about these important principles in salafi aqueedah and manhaj.
Alhumduillah, I believed as the previous post the point about numbers in this instance.Allahu Allam.
There was some text above this in arabicfonts which my computer cannot read. So as it would not have been readable,I pasted the english section part. I apologise for that.
Allahu Allam whether English is the first language of the admin that text the message.
Also in one of the other rooms sahab.net and rabee.net are linked.

Alhumduillah.Allahu Allam.
wasalaamu alaikum

Let it be known that what I said was in response to this statement as can be seen at the top of the thread!  As for our salafee brothers opening up a room for the purpose of advertising for their lessons they organize with the 'ulamaa', then this is without a doubt, FAR from what I was discussing!

I hope this is clear, and we ask Allaah for Al-'Aafiyah and As-Salaamah.

and furthermore, and this is important, I apologize to our Salafee brothers and sisters who organize those rooms for any harm my statement may have caused them or the da'wah.  I hope that they and everyone else understands the context of my speech and that I misunderstood the issue, I understood that the ONLY reason for the room was to gain numbers and become above the hizbee rooms.

Astaghirullaah wa atoobu ilayhe...

AND

upon reviewing the reasons they open these rooms, it seems clear:

1) That it is simply a means by which to keep the room at the top of the list so that people will see it, enter, and be informed of the schedule and things related to the lessons of the scholars.

2) If we are on Paltalk, we can enter these rooms to cause the room to be at the top, not for the sake of being above the hizbees or having the most numbers, but so that more people will see it, and thus the da'wah will spread due to it, in shaa' Allaah.  This would be a way of cooperating upon birr and taqwaa in shaa' Allaah.

3) In shaa' Allaah, it will not be a place of argumentation, rather it will be a tool by which people can be informed of the lessons of the 'ulamaa'.
