قال الشيخ عبيد الجابري حفظه الله تعالى ، حدثني عبد الله المسلم : أن الشيخ محمد بن صالح العثيمين قال :لولا الورع لكفرنا سيد قطب
حدثنا بذلك الشيخ عبيد حفظه الله وسمع منه ذلك أيضا
الأخ الفاضل أحمد الشحي حفظه الله
والأخ الفاضل راشد حمد حفظه الله
وقد أعاد الشيخ هذا الحديث في المجلس في بيت الأخ الفاضل عبد الله حمد وكان هناك جمع من الشباب وقال الشيخ حفظه الله : حدثوا عني

Sa`eed as-Za`aabee writes:
The Shaykh `Ubayd al-Jaabiree, may Allaah the Most High preserve him, said, "Abdullaah al-Muslim narrated to me that the Shaykh, Muhammad bin Saalih al-`Uthaymeen said:
"Had it not been for al-wara` (apprehensive fear), we would have made takfeer of Sayyid Qutb"
Shaykh `Ubayd, may Allaah preserve him narrated that to us and the noble brother, Ahmad ash-Shihhee, may Allaah preserve him, and the noble brother, Raashid Ahmad, may Allaah preserve him, also heard that from him.
And the Shaykh repeated this speech in the gathering in the house of the noble brother, Abdullaah Hamad, and there was a gathering of youth present, and the Shaykh said, "Narrate this from me".

Look at how the A'imah of Ahl us-Sunnah thoughtfully show restraint in takfeer (even in situations where it is applicable) whereas the likes of Qutb and his heretical followers showed no restraint in unleashing their vile, unwarranted filth upon the Ummah. This narration also indicates the level of dalaal and zandaqah reached by this so-called "Imaam of Guidance."

قلت انا ابو عاصم : وحدثني الشيخ الفاضل السلفي عصام السناني (أحد طلاب الشيخ ابن عثيمين ) في الباحة شهر خمسة عام 1423 هـ قال حدثني الشيخ ابن عثيمين فقال : (لولا الورع لكفرت سيد قطب )بمثل مقالة الشيخ الفاضل السلفي : عبد الله المسلم وحضرها بعض الإخوة والحمد لله رب العالمين .

Abu `Aasim `Abdullah bin Hameed `Alee Siwaan al-Ghaamidee adds:
I, Abu `Aasim, say: And the Shaykh, al-Faadil, as-Salafee, `Isaam as-Sinaanee (one of the students of the Shaykh Ibn `Uthaymeen and he authored the book with a compilation of the speech of the Scholars on Sayyid Qutb http://spubs.com/r.cfm?ID=NDV010013 ), narrated to me in the fifth month of the year 1423H, he said: Shaykh Ibn `Uthaymeen narrated to me, and said:
"Had it not been for al-wara` (apprehensive fear), I would have made takfeer of Sayyid Qutb"
Similar to the statement of the Shaykh, al-Faadil, as-Salafee, `Abdullaah al-Muslim, and some of the brothers were present (to hear this) and all praise is due to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds.
