bismillah wal hamdulillah wa Salaatu wa Salaam ala Rasoolullah
As Salaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Recently I read a post from SPUBS that advised women against opening rooms on paltalk. I informed some of the salafi sisters in this area (Boston) about the post as they were intending to open a locked room so that they could read from some of the translated text of the ulema together and strengthen their understanding insha'Allah. After presenting this, there was some discussion that this post was pertaining to 'chat rooms' and not pertinent for what they intended. Can someone please provide us with clarity about what the ulema said regarding this format of learning (paltalk). Especially considering the conditions listed below.
The salafi sisters in question say:
1. they do not live in close proximity to one another and don't have much opportunity to study together
2. that they intend to have the room locked
3. only known sisters will be given the password

please assist us with what the ulema say about this arrangement.
