Another question I forgot to ask:  Would it be a good idea give them a translation of the Qur'an or a few da'wah pamphlets? ?  Or is it good to talk first then give them literature to read?

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

I would like to know HOW to give da'wah to the ahlul Kitab (The christians and the jews) and other then them, such as the mushrikeen, Hindus, Buddhists etc?  I want to give da'wah to my work colleagues, but need advice on how to start.  As I don't have much experience in this area.

What I mean is like how does one begin his conversation with a christian or jew?  I know we start with calling them to tawhid and explaining the falsity of their claim that Isa (alaihis salam) is the son of Allah, wal Iyadhu Billah!  Do we explain to them that the Bible has been tampered with, and quote the passages where there are clear contradictions, and then showing them how the Qur'an is free from distortion etc?  Or do we suffice with quoting fom the Qur'an?

So could somebody who has experience in giving da'wah to the kuffar, please give us some tips, on how to strike conversation.  A typical example of a conversation would be very useful.  For example: "If he says this, then tell him this, if he asks this, then say this......."  A guide on how to  converse with a jew, or a christian, or a hindu, a example for each would be much appreciated.

Maybe one of the tullab ul ilm who have experience in the field of da'wah can help.

JazzakUmullahu Khairan
