As-Salaamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

Does anyone know what Akh Abu 'Uwais's position is with QSS?  I know brother Abu Tasneem have left them, and akh Moosa Richardson related what Shaikh Rabee' said about Abdul Mun'am, but I haven't heard anything about Abu 'Uwais yet.

This may seem insignificant, but I have noticed at most twice an incorrect spelling of the chairman of QSS's name as Abdul Mun'am.

Spelling it as such is unbefitting to Allaah!

For Mun'am - morphologically - is an ismul maf'ool or passive participle which in this case means that which receives the ni'mah (bounties, blessings etc.) as opposed to Mun'im which is an ismul faa'il or active participle i.e. that which grants [in this case] those qualities.

Allaah is not in need of blessings or bounties, nor is He benefited in any way shape, form or fashion and there exist no one who can give it to Him!

In fact, we ask Him at least seventeen times per day "...guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom You have granted ni'mah..."

So let us be careful for surely Allaah has prescribed perfection in everything!

nor is "Al-Mun'im" one of Allaah's established Names from the Book or the Sunnah, like other commonly ascribed Names to Allaah:

Al-Mawjood
Al-Maqsood
As-Sattaar

and others...

As-Salaamu' Alaikum.

This question was raised on Jumu'ah yestaday from amongst the salafis here in Cleveland. I've not seen any posts on troid.org or among the forums. Can someone please post the position and evidences of Abu 'Uwais (hafithahu'Llah) in regards to QSS or list the link or the forum please.

Baarak-Allaahu Feekum - wa sal-Allaahu wa-sallam 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammad,
was-Salaam 'alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuh.

After seeing Aboo Uwais's name posted on this forum I went directly to the brother and informed of the enquiry as to his position on Qss/abu fitnah and the brother replied " I'm with Shaykh Rabee' and you know it shouldn't even be any question, (and again he said) I am with Shaykh Rabee'. And this made me happy wahamdulelah. This was about 3 weeks ago when I first saw the post before I became a member on the forum here. And I didn't think to put a reply until now. Among the strongest brothers upon salafiyyah from America is our brothers Aboo Uwais and Aboo Hasan Malik. While many of us really don't have clue as to what salafiyyah is and what the manhaj is. Allahu Musta'aan especially here in America. This brother has been upon salafiyyah since 1978. Aboo Tasneem also had been introduced to salafiyyah in 1981. And Allaah knows best. I say this to say have Husnul Thun of your brothers and pick up the phone! barakullahu feekum

This is something he also informed me of 2 weeks ago.  He also expressed his displeasure for the position in which the Jordanians have taken along with Qoosee.

Al hamdulillahir rabbil aalameen was salaatu was salaamu 'ala nabeeyinaa muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi ajma'een
I'm pleased to see that Abu Uwais(hafidhahullaah) is upon the correct salafee position in regards to Abul Fitan al-Mubtadi, wal hamdulilah! He is one of the brothers I can truly say I love for the sake of Allaah because of his firmness in manhaj. With that said, I pray he too will leave QSS as Dawood Adeeb (hafidhahullaah)preceeded him in doing. What Shaykh Rabee (hafidhahullaah) said about Abdul-Mun'im al-Kadhdhaab an-Nammaam al-Hizbee is sufficient, so I pray Abu Uwais is with the shaykh as well in this issue, insha'allaah.
Al-Baghawee(rahimahullaah) said;
"And the Prophet(sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) has informed about the splitting of his Ummah and the appearance of desires and innovations within it. And he ruled that deliverance would be for the one who followed his Sunnah and the Sunnah of his Companions. Therefore, it i necessary for the Muslim, when he sees a man engaging himself with anything from the desires and innovations, believing in them, or belittling from the Sunnah, that he flees from him, disowns him and leaves him - dead or alive. So he does not give salaam to him when he meets him and nor does he respond to him if he salutes first (and he should continue doing this) until this person abandons his innovation and returns to the truth." (Sharhus-Sunnah 1/224)

salaamun 'alaykum wa rahmatullaah

I must also express my support for Abu Uwais in his position against QSS and Abul-Fitnah Al-Misree. He was just here with us this weekend speaking alongside myself at our conference here in Atlanta, Georgia. He and I spoke several times about this fitnah and he made it clear in front of me privately and in front of our entire masjid (including the visiting guests who came to benefit from other states) that he is against QSS and Abul-Hasan as well as those who have sided with them. He made it clear that he has always been with Shaikh Rabee' and he even told QSS that if Shaikh Rabee' ever drops "the hammer" on you all I'm finished with you.

The brother Abu Uwais is not with the Hizbees al-hamdulillaah, and anyone who doubts that should do as our brothers here have suggested and call him yourself. He's not unapproachable as those of us who know him are aware of. I've known him since about 1990 or 91 and he's always been firm in his Salafiyyah and that's why he saw through the likes of Zarabozo and Abu Muflisah long before the rest of us. He knew and sat with Shaikh Rabee' before many of us even knew who the Shaikh was, and he has never removed his support of our noble Shaikh, Rabee'us-Sunnah (hafithahullaah).

Just call him and ask if you have doubts. He's at Masjid-ur-Rahmah in Jersey.

As-Salaamu' Alaikum wa Rahman tu'lahi wa berta khatu.

Barak Allahu' Feekum to the brothers in response to my question in this forum. To be honest, I did not know what masjid Abu' Uwais is the Imam at. When I asked the brothers here in Cleveland after hearing of akhi Abu' Uwais, may Allah reward him with much khair, some said he's in Toledo, Ohio, some said he's in Jersey. And even after that I couldn't find out what masjid and Darul Hadith's number's not in service yet. As I read throughout the responses to the bottom of them where the brother listed exactly which masjid he's at clearing my shubahat, I'm glad to have the brothers location finalized and what masjid exact. I wanted to clear on this forum, that I do not doubt Abu Uwais, nor anyone else defending this clear methodology of As-Salafiyyah and its people, nor did I NOT give him the husna thunn, his firmness upon the minhaj is apparent, I just want to be clear and one way I could easily is by posting question on salafitalk and I am clear al-HAmdu' li-Lah, barak Allahu' feekum.

Baarak-Allaahu Feekum - wa sal-Allaahu wa-sallam 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammad,
was-Salaam 'alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuh.

Asalaamu alaikum.... Ma'shallah, it is nice to hear of the posts that the brothers have made concerning Abu Uwais and his various thoughts... may ALlahu Subhana wa'tala increase him and all of us in good.

I would still like to request that someone be able to advise, as to his position w/ the QSS.  Has he resigned as Br Dawud rightfully did, so as to reflect hjis position being in 'line' with that of Shk. Rabee etc... or perhaps he has detached himself of that sinking ship?
Barakah Allahu feekum
