| Reply to Some Doubts of the Concealed Followers of the Manhaj of Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee |

All praise is due to Allaah and Salaat and Salaam upon His Messenger, to proceed:
Some of the followers of the manhaj of Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee and who claim attachment to Shaykh Rabee' bin Haadee have recently spread some doubts on one of the hideouts of the followers of the manhaj of Abul-Hasan, and which have been brought to our attention. Specifically, it is concerning a statement of Shaykh Rabee concerning the issue of boycotting and expelling from Salafiyyah. In response to an email we sent out at 6:40pm on 9th June 2003 which consisted of a compilation of four statements of the Shaykh, comprising the one alluded to above concerning boycotting and expelling from Salafiyyah, another concerning how we deal with the common Muslims who maybe upon something of innovation, and another two statements concerning boycotting of the followers of the Innovator Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee.
In response to this, the followers of Abul-Hasan, or those who are affected by his manhaj, or those who built their walaa and baraa upon other than the correct Sharee'ah and Salafee ruling concerning al-Ma'ribee, responded with the following allegations:

Some people whom I imagine should remain nameless as we were asked not to talk about them "per se" have been posting an email about the Shaykh's refutation but they made it part of three articles in one.
They made his refutation the first Article, then titled all three articles together as a statement from the Shaykh about people of innovation as if it is a collection of refutations against the people of bid'ah.
Then they follow his refutation up with two articles where he is making refutations.
This is almost like the methodology of the American Kuffar in advertising and politics. They are shaping what people should think by controlling how they get the info.
This, of course, is my simple opinion.

What you stated is correct about their as'loob (procedure). This is a severe affliction of the heart, and today we find it mixed with strong passion and desire that certain people become muta'jabbarun over others with their desire to present only what they like or believe. This is why I posted the three ath'aar about ahl haw'aa. Whats amazing is most of the time they consider themselves to be far away from being ahl ha'waa. May Allah guide all of us to what earns his mercy and his pleasure. |

One can see and extract the numerous allegations and charges and claims made in the statements of these two individuals who have chosen to attack us from the hideout of the followers of Abul-Hasan.
To clarify matters, we would like to remind these brothers of the following:
On Sunday 8th June, Shaykh Rabee gave a lecture dealing with the extremism on the one hand and tamyee' (lenience, laxity) on the other, and the effect of both of these in harming Salafiyyah and the Da'wah. In light of that it was appropriate and befitting that no one use just one piece of advice from the Shaykh against the other, since this amounts to misrepresenting the Shaykhs position on both issues (extremism and laxity). In light of that, we took four statements of the Shaykh that were posted and compiled in a thread by some members on SalafiTalk.Net. Two of these statements speak about boycotting, and behaviour with the common people and two of which speak about boycotting and warning from those who follow the Innovators such as Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee.
This was in perfect agreement with the balance of the Shaykh which he intended to put forward to warn from both extremism and tamyee', and in sending out that email to thousands of people that is what we wished to present also, so that the people get the correct and balanced picture exactly as the Shaykh intended, and so that a one-sided picture is not given.
In light of this, then we ask these brothers who have made the above allegations to correct what they have written and not to spread lies and rumours which are baseless, and which are based upon nothing but evil suspicion (soo'udh-dhann), the particular trait that Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee the Innovator, accused the Noble Sahaabee Abu Sa'eed al-Khudree of, when he suspected Ibn Sayyaad with being the Dajjaal, and as a result he (al-Ma'ribee) addressed him (Abu Sa'eed) in an insulting way. So we ask that they shun evil suspicion. Further, we ask them to be the first of all people to abide by the "just", "compassionate" manhaj that they are claiming to propound, and not to spread qeel and qaal, the very thing they claim to warn against.
This particular incident illustrates either that they say that which they do not do, they prohibit an evil and fall into it themselves immediately thereafter, thus not benefitting from their own admonitions, or that they intend mischief and intend harm to others by way of lies, false claims and rumour-mongering. So we hope that they correct themselves and withhold their tongues from uttering and behaving with the necessities of the manhaj of Abul-Hasan, the manhaj of broad and beautified claims and slogans and evil principles, all of which comprise the greatest of double standards and hypocritical constructs of behaviour.
With respect to the platform that these individuals are using, then that platform is devoid of the balance that Shaykh Rabee has put forward, for they hide and conceal the words of the Shaykh concerning the Innovator Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee, and when they find speech from the Shaykh that justifies what they are upon of the manhaj of Tamyee', they present it to the people, portraying as if they are with the Shaykh in his manhaj and in his rulings and in the Salafee positions towards the Innovators, when they are far from it, as the fitnah of Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee revealed. This is the manner in which they vent frustration towards all of those who were and are still upon the truth in the last and great Ikhwaanee fitnah to affect the Salafees, that of al-Ma'ribee.
So that which they accused us of in their statements quote above, then alhamdulillaah we are free from it, since we distributed the four statements of the Shaykh to many thousands of brothers and sisters via our mailing list - all containing a perfect balance, in conformity with the actual intent of the Shaykh. And as for them, then they still conceal themselves behind the manhaj of Abul-Hasan and do not take a manly position on Abul-Hasan and they hate and resent that the rulings and judgements of Shaykh Rabee (and 30 other people of knowledge) should be presented to the people. So their own words fall back upon themselves and we are free and innocent of their allegations. May Allaah guide and pardon these brothers.
