Did Abu Talhah Dawood Burbank Translate Sharhus-Sunnah (Explanation Of The Creed) Of Imaam Al-Barbahaaree Without Any Explanation Of The Scholars Along With It?
Is The English Translation Just The Text Of The Book?
Important Points
This book was translated by Abu Talhah approximately nine years ago and has been published several times since.
Abu Talhah, hafidhahullaah, translated this book after thoroughly studying its importance and the consequences of its points from the taped lectures of Ash-Shaykh Saaleh as-Suhaymee (one of the scholars of Madeenah), hafidhahullaah, which run into hours and hours of explanation of this excellent book. After going to the text of the book and matching each point with the explanation of Ash-Shaykh Saaleh as-Suhaymee, Abu Talhah proceeded to put many of these important points into the book, This took a considerable amount of time, since he took each utilised point of Shaykh Saaleh as-Suhaymee and researched its origin and source so he could reference it correctly. So if the Shaykh quoted an aayah, Abu Talha would look for the reference of the ayah and quote it, if it was a hadeeth or athar - however obscure ? he would look for its source and its authentication, relying greatly upon the checkings of ash-Shaykh al-Muhaddith Muhammad Naasirud-Deen al-Albaanee, rahimahullaah. If Shaykh Saaleh as-Suhaymee quoted from one of the Salaf, like Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibnul-Mubaarak, Fudayl bin Iyaad and others, then Abu Talhah would look for a brief biography for them and find the source of the utilised statement and quote it. This book took a long time to prepare, it utilised the source texts and checked manuscripts of Shaykh Khaalid ar-Radaadee, hafidhahullaah. He was very pleased at its translation and subsequent publishing. In fact when Abu Talhah and Abu Khadeejah visited the Shaykh back in 2001, he gave both of them a copy of the new edition of his book. Four extra appendices were added to make further clarification upon the issues discussed within the book.
So, in reality, what the English reader has in front of him when he reads this book is the Sharhus-Sunnah of Imaam Barbahaaree (died 329), rahimahullaah, along with many of the comments and notes of Ash-Shaykh Saaleh as-Suhaymee with the narrations and ahadeeth followed up with references and sources.
So now you know, O Salafee, that this English translation is not merely the matan, or text, of the Arabic, rather it is an explained 'guide-book' in the manhaj and 'aqeedah of the Salaf based upon an explanation of one the noble Scholars of Salafiyyah.
Further, whenever, this book has been taught to the English speaker by the clear Salafi du'aat in the West, it has been taught with the above in mind as well as these du'aat themselves referring back to the explanations of Ahlul-'ilm.
Salafi Publications currently holds the rights to the translated version of the book with the permission of the translator. The new edition of this book is currently being prepared for print by Salafi Publications and will be available soon, inshaAllaah.
We hope that this doubt has now been cleared.

Looking at the actual book itself, it says quite clearly on page 4 of the publisher's foreword (1995):

So what is going on? Are people saying this book was translated without a sharh to accompany it?

This questions is for spubs.
Will the new version of Sharus Sunnah of Imam Barbaharee, have the arabic version of the text?
Moreover, is it possible place the hadiths in arabic in the book along with their diacritical marks.
