Assalamu Alaikum

We have statements from Sh Ibn Uthaimeen and Sh Al-Albanee that the brother has quoted unfortunately due to us not understanding the difference between general and specific statements of the scholars; we can easily get the wrong impression. For example, we should not differ as it is an order to be divided but when the difference is over truth and falsehood then the Salafees must speak the truth and the people of batil must be refuted as is the case of Abul Fitan.  Deviations must be exposed as we cannot unite upon deviation!!

We see many brothers rushing to the general statements of the scholars concerning unity, brotherhood and making excuses for each other, which have a pertinent position in our deen but to take them out of their place and context is incorrect, we must ensure that speak from ilm and not be like the people of desires who let their opinions overtake the truth! The saying is correct but what is intended is batil!

I have heard many brothers using these general statements and quoting scholars in these issues and thinking that people will be fooled but the fact remains that they the  only befool themselves and those with them as the truth prevails over falsehood.  We must make sure that when we speak of issues then we must not be vague but be clear as the matters of deviation that occurred in the past such as the Jamiyah, Mutizilah, Qadariyah, etc the scholars made specific and clear statements and refuted them in a specific way and this is the same way that Abul Fitan was refuted in a clear and specific way.  Rather the Salaf were not afraid of speaking the truth and mentioning the people of bidah in a harsh manner, rather they were upon the truth whilst we at times may be far from this way

We should also be wary of those who use the general statements of the scholars in a dangerous manner where they use them for their own particular purposes i.e. to suit the positions that they hold but they will not use these same scholars for positions that go against them, we should be just and narrate in a just way! The Scolars are free from them as they are free from the scholars

As Sh Rabie mentions in the book of Khalid Thufiree 'that the people of bidah are now mixing within the ranks of  Ahl-us Sunnah and using ways that mix the haq with batil' and this is indeed a grave position as it is no longer the case that a person comes to you and says 'I am a Surooree, Al-Uree, Qutobee, Hizbee, Asharee, etc they now all say we are Salafee and love the scholars, the affair is now more dangerous and one where we must hold onto the truth with our molars and consult the major scholars for these important rulings, beware of those who use the guise of Salafeeyah to call you to their batil
