The following is a translation of a post found on, posted by the brother ?Yaqooloon?, I have added some comments in brackets for clarity, inshaaAllaah

Dear Respected Brothers

Today, Wednesday 4/12/1423, I attended a lecture of the Shaikh, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Respected, Abdul Azeez bin Abdullaah Aal Shaikh, may Allaah preserve him, in the Makkah Center for Culture and Arts in Makkah al-Mukaramah.

Following the lecture and after the Mufti answered the questions which were presented to him, the Father, the Mujaahid, The Rabee? of Goodness (Shaikh Rabee?), may Allaah the Most High preserve him, stood to give salaams to the Mufti and said to him, ?Rabee bin Haadee Al-Madkhalee is present.? (This was necessary because the Mufti is blind, and NOT because the Mufti does not know Shaikh Rabee!)

So immediately the Mufti embraced Shaikh Rabee and kissed him on the head, may Allaah reward him.

This is how the people of good virtue recognise each other. And there is no doubt that Shaikh Rabee holds a very high station with the ulemaa of the Sunnah, may Allaah reward him for aiding Salafiyyah and refuting the doubts of the people of innovation and misguidance.

And there is no doubt that Shaikh Rabee is older than the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

(The Grand Mufti was born in 1362 A.H./1941 C.E., he became totally blind in 1381 A.H./1960 C.E.
Allaamah Rabee, Abu Muhammad, al-Madkhalee was born in the latter part of 1352 A.H./1931 C.E., as he himself has mentioned. Hence Shaikh Rabee is 10 years older than the Grand Mufti.)

(NOTE: Kissing someone on the head is a custom in Saudi Arabia. It is usually done to someone you love, respect and honour and it is usually done by younger person to someone older than him.)

The above message can also be found on Amongst the replies the following few stand out.

At-Tahaamee As-Salafee mentions
"When Shaikh Al-Alaamah Muqbil bin Haadee (may Allaah have mercy on him) came to Juddah (this is the correct pronounciation as mentioned to us by Sh. Muhammad bin Haadee) for the first time, Shaikh Rabee also came to visit Sh. Muqbil, and this was after a long separation of about 22 years. Then they hugged for a long time after which Sh. Muqbil kissed Sh. Rabee on the head. Shaikh Rabee then made up the following poem:

Verily Allaah unites the two separated ones
After they had thought that they would never meet again.

Abul Haarith al-Umaree mentions
"This reminds us of the story of Ibn Abbaas when he took hold of the rope of the camel (in order to lead it) of Zaid bin Thaabit and said "This is how we have been ordered to behave with our ulemaa." Reported by ibn Abdul Barr in Jaami bayaan ul-Ilm.

وهذا يذكرنا بقصة ابن عباس حين أخذ زمام ناقة زيد بن ثابت وقال : هكذا أمرنا أن نصنع بعلمائنا
(رواه ابن عبد البر في جامع بيان العلم

Muhib ul Al-Albaani mentions that Al Hussain said
" I was present in the house of the Imaan of Ahl-us-Sunnah Wal Jamaah Shaikh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy upon him) when Shaikh Rabee entered the gathering and informed Shaikh bin Baaz, who said happy and smiling "Ar-Rabee (the spring) has come, Ar-Rabee has come" and he kept on repeating it, for he used to love him and honour him"

Abdullah ar-Rasheedee mentions
"I and Shaikh Falaah bin Ismaaeel were present in the library of Sh. Saaleh al Fawzaan when Sh. Rabee entered upon us. So Sh. Fawzaan greeted him with a very warm welcome and asked him whether his refutation of al-Maalikee had been published or not. And it was a blessed gathering in which we were united with two Salafi Rabaani Imaams. We ask Allaah to preserve them both and to benefit us by them."

So we say to the Suroori's, Qutubi's, Maghraawi's, Aroori's, Ma'ribi's and all the followers of innovation and desires, those who fight the Imaams of Dawah Salafiyah and try to separate us from them:

Perish in your anger and die in your rage. For by the Permission of Allaah you will never be able to destroy our Dawah or our Ulemaa.
