Assalaam alaikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuhu.
I am aware that when one prays in the masjid his prayers are rewarded greater than if he prayed outside the masjid. Does this reward count for a musalla? I have seen what appears to be different definitions of what a masjid is? What is the most agreed upon definition? What are the rules of a masjid versus a musalla?
Also I work at a large convention centre in Melbourne Australia. They have separate rooms and wudu facilities for each gender that were built along with the facility. It has it's own section of the building and is for muslim use only. Why they built this I am not sure considering they are kuffar but Allaahu alim. Am I allowed to pray here while at work considering there is a masjid close by? The large amount of downtown traffic and time constraints would make it difficult to get to.
JazakAllaahumkhairun for all those that assist in answering this question.
~SubhanAllaah. It's amazing how often people oppose the sunnah even AFTER being shown daleel~
