asalamu alaykum, a sister posted some beneficial notes mashaAllah from Knowledge is only Attained through Six Things given by brother Moosaa Richardson. there were two narrations that i read, which were really nice mashaAllah and i couldnt find the original arabic nor the referrence; i was hoping brother Moosaa can please post it here inshaAllah... the narrations are as follows: 1) ıWhoever exerts himself to have patience and pushes himself, when he doesnıt think he can be patient anymore, Allaah will grant him success and Allaah will make him patient because of his struggle.ı This is from a hadeeth collected by Imaam Ahmad and narrated by Saıeed al-Khudri (radiallaahu taıaala anh). 2) The Messenger (salallaahu ıalaihi wasallam) also said in the hadeeth, ıWhoever pushes himself in his vigilance about attaining good, then he will receive it.'

wa alaykumus-salaamu wa rahmatullaah... I haven't been very successful getting Arabic to show up here on ST, but here goes: من يتصبر يصبره الله 1) "Man yatasab-bar yusab-bir-hullaah" من يتحر الخير يعطه 2) "Man yataharral-khayra yu'tahu" ("he will be given it" is better than "he will receive it" in the quoted translation) NOTE: The translations may seem a bit lengthy for only a few words in Arabic, but they are heavy Arabic phrases employing lots of linguistic devices. 1) As stated, collected by Ahmad in his Musnad (3/12) from the narration of Aboo Sa'eed al-Khudree. It was also collected by al-Bukhaaree (1469) and Muslim (1089) with a longer wording. The narration found in the Musnad opens with the quoted wording. 2) As-Suyootee said in al-Jaami' al-Kabeer: It was collected by ad-Daaraqutnee is his Afraad and al-Khateeb in Taareekh Baghdaad from the narration of Aboo Hurayrah, and it was collected by al-Khateeb from the narration of Abud-Dardaa'. Al-Albaanee judged it hasan in Saheeh al-Jaami' al-Kabeer, adding a reference to As-Silsilah as-Saheehah (#342). Sorry the arabic didnt come out.

For Arabic script, try typing [ arabic ] (no spaces between [ ] and the word arabic) before your Arabic text, then [/ arabic ] (no spaces again) after the Arabic text. Also, it seems easier NOT to use Google Chrome whilst posting on this site. Others seem ok.. Hope this helps... BaarakAllaahu feekum..
