THE VIEW OF SHAIKH AL-ALBAANEE -rahimahullaah- CONCERNING THE TAKBEER AL-MUQAYYAD ON THE DAYS OF `EID (i.e. TAKBEER SPECIFIC TO AFTER THE OBLIGATORY PRAYERS), IN ADDITION TO THE UNRESTRICED TAKBEER (AT-TAKBEERUL-MUTLAQ), WHICH IS PERFORMED THROUGHOUT THE FIRST 13 DAYS OF DHUL-HIJJAH.
السائل: ما حكم التكبير المقيد بعد الصلوات؟ وهل يقدمه الإنسان على الأذكار المشروعة، أم يبدأ بالأذكار أولاً
الشيخ: ليس -فيما نعلم- للتكبير المُعتاد دُبر الصَّلوات في أيامِ العيد؛ ليس له وقتٌ مَحدود في السُّنة؛ وإنما التَّكبير هو من شِعار هذه الأيام؛ بل أعتقد أن تقييدَها بدُبر الصلوات أمرٌ حادِث لم يكنْ في عهدِ النبي -صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم-.
فلذلك يكون الجواب البدهي: أن تقديم الأذكار المعروفة دبر الصلوات هو السُّنة، أما التكبير؛ فيجوز له في كل وقت.

Questioner: What is the ruling for the takbeer restricted to after the Prayers (at-Takbeerul-Muqayyad)? And should a person perform it before the legislated adhkaar, or begin with the adhkaar first?
Shaikh al-Albaanee: There is not a time specified in the Sunnah -as far as we know- for the takbeer which is commonly performed after the Prayers on the days of `Eid. Rather the takbeer is from the visible symbols of these days. Indeed I regard specifying it to its being after the Prayers to be a newly introduced affair, which was not in the time of the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه و سلم) . So therefore the answer will naturally be: that beginning with the well known adhkaar after the Prayers is the Sunnah. As for the takbeer, then it is permissible for him at every time.

الشيخ: لا، لا يقيد؛ بل تقييدُه مِن البدع؛ إنما التكبير بكل وقتٍ من أيام التشريق.

Questioner: Should the takbeer on the days of Tashreeq be given a restriction to being after the Prayers?
Shaikh al-Albaanee: No, it should not be restricted. Rather restricting it is from the innovations. Rather the takbeer should be at every time during the days of Tashreeq.
Questioner: And for the ten days
Shaikh al-Albaanee: And the ten days are likewise.

1. The days of Tashreeq are the three days following the day of `Eidul-.Ad-haa, i.e. the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah.
2. i.e. the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah.
