but HOW do we know WHAT the good is, and WHAT the Evil is?

what if we also end up taking the evil and not realising?

As-Salaamu AlaiKum wa Rahmatullah,

I would like to share the following article with you.
Its not exactly what i was looking for, but for the meanwhile, it is a good read inshaaAllah. The article can be found at

https://sites.google.com/site/msaqib2/Home/takinggoodleavingbad.pdf

Not understanding the point that is being made is starting to cause problems and fitnah in a number of towns and cities - where seemingly innocent statements like "take the good and leave the evil" (not knowing which part is the good, and which part is the evil) is OPENGING THE DOORS to Greater Evils, which in turn are starting to take people away from the Qur'an, Sunnah and Authentic Belief of the Muslims (such as how the Sahaaba understood islaam)... s.l.o.w.l.y...,  slo.wly...,  slowly (as observation is showing time and time again).
May Allah protect us all, guide us all, and keep us rightly-guided.

Its an issue that needs more addressing in the English Language as people are often deceived as to the implications, results and future mid/long-term consequences of what this means (and problems in Aqeedah amongst people making such statements seem to have got worse in recent years). May Allah protect and rectify all of our affairs.

There are books, audio lectures and even fataawa of the Ulema that do address this issue (giving reasons why its wrong to make such statements), however i have not found much TYPED-up information on the internet in the English Language (maybe its because i'm looking in the wrong places), but i believe that
its an issue that needs to be highlighted much more for the English speaker as a number of problem are spreading like wildfire (all involving people who used to make statements like this a few years ago) and it is now EVOLVING to other evils.

If i get some time then i may add to this page, but if someone else could add more then that would be beneficial inshaa'Allah.
