I have heard that, the order of the surah's in the Qur'an were organized by the Sahabah (Radi'Allahu'anhum ajma'een). Is this true? A better question would be, can someone with dhaleel with the source of this dhaleel post a better elaboration of the issue of the Qur'an being organized other than in the order that it was reveal, if this is true?? Who from the Khulafa'ar'Rashideen, Ameerul' Mu'Mineen situated the order of the written word of the Qur'an??? Also, who was the companion that the Prophet (sal'Allahu' alayhe wa salaam) told that he'd be the first to transmit the Qur'ani Kareem to paper????
