assalamu alaikum warahmatuallah

First Id like to say that I enjoyed the seminar in philadelphia mashaAllah. This was my first seminar and I benefited greatly, JazakamAllahu khair.

I read a book about the manners of the Scolars and students of knowledge recently and I know that we should all gather closely and sit attentively to listen to whom is speaking. But in the sisters case, could their be an exception to this? When I sat near some and Im not saying ALL, just a few.I couldnt pay attention to the lecture. It seemed that every few minutes there would be a question directed towards me or the other sisters seated near me such as " sister where are you from, where did you get your jilbaab? did you make that yourself?" and on and on and on. So my question is... in this situation, would it be permissable for me to sit alone the next time I attend a class?
JazakamAllahu khair
assalamu alaikum
