The Words of Imaam Ibn Baz Falling on Those (Qutbiyyah) Who Lied Upon Him (Safar al-Hawali, Salman al-Awdah, Muhammad Sa'eed al-Qahtani, Aa'id al-Qarnee, Abdur-Razzaq ash-Shayijee): Callers of Falsehood and Stirrers of the Murky Waters

Background and Introduction

The presence in Saudi Arabia of Manaa' al-Qattaan (as the Ikhwani recruiter) and his activities of organizing a "vanguard", upon the doctrines and methodologies of Sayyid Qutb, along with the presence of Mohammad Qutb, and Mohammad Suroor and their types all led to the nurturing of some of the indigenous upon these ideologies of mass Takfir, Leninist revolutions as the means of "giving Haakimiyyah back to Allaah", and working to establish the khilafah, as they claimed, despite the fact that they were living in a land that was established upon Tawhid and in which the law of Allah was established, and the Scholars of Tawhid and the Sunnah were present in abundance..........

Women and Children of Iraq: Say Thank You To Dr. Safar Hawali - He Brought You Freedom and Democracy

Dr. Safar al-Hawali said, proudly boasting, and addressing George Bush in his well-known, well-distributed letter to him dated 15th October 2001:

لقد حرصنا -نحن المسلمين- على انتخابكم ونحن نملك الأدلة على أن غالبية الأصوات المرجحة لفوزكم هي أصواتنا، وأنا شخصياً نصحت المسلمين بذلك

We Muslims eagerly desired to see you elected and we possess evidences that the votes which gave you victory were our votes, and I personally advised Muslims to vote for you.

Thank you Dr. Hawali. Hope you can sleep well at night after your advices to the Algerian people in the 1990s in your aid and support of the movements of Takfir in Algeria, and them taking you and your comrades as leaders and guides, and your encouragement for them to traverse other than the Prophetic methodology in da'wah and reform, and your preaching of revolutionary ideologies to the Algerians through your lectures and cassettes. Hope you can also sleep smugly at night, with the knowledge of the "freedom and democracy" that came to the Iraqi people through "your votes", and you even "possess evidences" that they were indeed your votes, how proud you must feel. If it was the case that the war-mongers specifically needed Bush to get into power to launch all these wars in that eight year period - which is what is apparent - then truly the Muslims are indebted to you for the freedom and democracy they now have the privilege of having, all thanks to you! ......

Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih al-Uthaymeen Warning From the Takfiris, the Cassettes of Safar and Salman and Their Revolutionary Ideology

Afer the Qutbiyyah (see Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen on the Qutbi Manhaj in this article) made their debut using the first Gulf War as means to openly call to the Leninist revolutionary methodology that they had taken from the works of Sayyid Qutb, under the influence Mohammad Qutb, they began to present themselves as the masters and lords of fiqh ul-waaqi' (current affairs). Over a period of years, these individuals such as Safar al-Hawali, Salman al-Awdah and others, were giving advice to the Algerian people, and often deceiving the Algerians soliciting their advice into thinking that this advice was coming from the Major Scholars.

Go to this article and read the four pages (pp. 110-113) quoted from the book "Baraa'ah Ulamaa il-Ummah" in which you will find Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen's recognition and approval of the difference between the Salafi Manhaj and the Qutbi [Leninist] Manhaj, that was being advised by these same individuals. What we are saying here is not an invention or a fabrication of the so-called "Madkhalis". It is actually historical fact. The word "Madkhali" is a derogatory term used to avert people away from the truth through deception, scaremongering and lies.

As a result of the advice these individuals gave to the Algerian people, and the promulgation and spread of the Leninist ideology of Sayyid Qutb amongst the unsuspecting Salafis at the hands of these individuals, Algeria suffered a great calamity, with tens of thousands of innocent men women and children caught up in brutal murders, and whole villages often being slaughtered, being considered apostates for not agreeing with the takfiri groups in their Takfir of the ruler, the government and various governmental bodies such as the police and so on. People literally fled into the mountains. This state of affairs and this particular environment also allowed foreign powers and the government to carry out their own attacks and to blame them on the these groups as a means to discredit the cause of these people..................

Salman al-Awdah, Aa'id al-Qarnee, Habib Ali al-Jifree and Amr Khalid: The Ikhwani Bannaawi Manhaj in Practice

You may recall in a previous article in our Bayaan Talbis al-Qutbiyyah series, regarding a loaded question put to the Muftee, the Shaykh Abdul-Aziz Aal ash-Shaykh the aim of which was to get some speech out of the Shaykh against Shaykh Rabee' bin Haadee al-Madkhali.

The question was as follows:

Questioner: "O Shaykh there is a group, who claim Salafiyyah...and they revile the Du'aat and the Mashaayikh ... and they revile Shaykh Aa'id al-Qarnee, and they revile Shaykh Salman al-Awdah, and some of them say that they are astray, leading others astray..." Presenter: [interjecting] "You request some advice..." Questioner: "Yes some advice for them..." Immediately, the Muftee begins to answer: "O my brothers ...", then the questioner drops in at the very end (after the Shaykh has commenced his speech) "...most of them are the students of Shaykh Rabi al-Madkhali..."

Note in the recording that as the Muftee was commencing his advice, the questioner dropped in his statement "...most of them are the students of Shaykh Rabi al-Madkhali...". The Muftee advised the questioner at the beginning that these types of things ought not to be brought out openly but can be resolved in other ways without publicizing them to the people in this manner.

Muftee: My brothers, I hope we fear Allaah with respect to ourselves, and that we do not publicize these types of affairs, when we know of their existence, we strive to rectify them, as for making them publicizing them and making them open, then this is not befitting...

After this, the Shaykh gives a general naseehah (advice) which is not directed at anyone in particular, but is a general naseehah to everyone, and if you actually reflect upon the advice of the Shaykh, it is actually against them, not for them - refer to this article for more details on this piece of advice as a whole.

However, we want to focus here on the individuals mentioned in the loaded question, Salman al-Awdah and Aa'id al-Qarnee, and present something about the nature of their orientation in da'wah. This orientation is that of Hasan al-Banna, founder of al-Ikhwan al-Muslimeen, the accommodation of all the groups and sects to work for a greater goal, to arrive at the "khilaafah", and Salman al-Awdah's distinction between al-Firqat un-Naajiyah and at-Taa'ifat ul-Mansoorah was from the angle of this Bannaawee principle. This principle destroyed the foundation of al-walaa wal-baraa for the sake of the Islamic aqidah in the 20th century, and led to al-walaa wal-baraa based around political goals, motives and ambitions and al-walaa wal-baraa based around groups, parties and organizations. Here we can see the Bannawee principle in action:..........

Aa'id al-Qarnee: Remove the Fuse of The Fitnah Between the Sunnah and the Shiah

Aa'id al-Qarnee and the Raafidah Shiah

To give you an illustration of the reality of this individual who is from the generality of the Harakiyyeen, we just need to look at what he wrote two days ago (as documented in this article on Sahab) - and the original source from ash-Sharq al-Awsat is saved here):

Then after quoting the verse in which Allaah prohibits the reviling of the deities of those who call upon other than Allaah lest they revile Allaah in turn out of hostility and ignorance, he then continues:

The general theme of the article is that the differences between the Sunnah and Shiah are not going to be resolved through insults and the likes and that we should not turn against the various factions amongst the people of Islaam, and kindle the fire of tribulation between the people of Islaam, and that the the Sunnah (i.e. Sunnis) should not incite against the Shiah and the Shiah should not incite against the Sunnah, and that such actions will only increase enmity (between them) and lead to splits, defeat, humiliation, lowering and so on.

Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan's Refutation of Salman al-Awdah's Generalized Mass Takfir of All the Muslims

Salmaan al-Awdah:

quote:

Eminent Shaykh, some of them say:  الرايات المرفوعة اليوم في طول العالم وعرضه إنما هي رايات علمانيـة  The banners which are raised in the length and width of the Islaamic world are but secular banners [Taken from Salmaan al-Awdah's well known cassette "Yaa liJiraahaatil-Muslimeen"]. What is the ruling regarding this saying?

Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan on Salman al-Awdah's Saying 'The Absent Ummah': This Necessitates the Takfir of the Whole Ummah

In "al-Ajwibah al-Mufidah" (a collection of the fatwas of Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan on Manhaj), pages 88-89, 2nd edition:

What do you say about the one who applies [the label] of "absent" to the contemporary Islamic Ummah?

Shaykh's answer:
quote:

The saying that the Muslim Ummah is absent, then Takfir of all of the Islamic nations is necessitated from it, since its meaning is that there is no Islamic state, and this is in opposition to the saying of the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam), "There will never cease to be a group from my Ummah upon the truth, uppermost. They will not be harmed by those who desert them or those who oppose them, until the affair of Allaah - the Blessed and Exalted - arrivs, and they are in this state."  So regardless of how much misguidance, differing, and disbelief might occur, then this safe and secure group will always remain.  Hence, there is no such thing as the absence of the Islamic Ummah, and all praise is due to Allaah, and nor is it a required condition for this Islamic Society, or this Aided Group that it is devoid of sins, since sins were found in the time of the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam), and also in the time of his Khulafaa, however, they were stood up against and were rejected.

this morning (tuesday 6 may, 2003) in class, a bosnian student asked shaykh 'abdul-muhsin al-'abbaad (hafitha-hullaah):

"o shaykh, there are some amongst the students who travel to sit with (salmaan) al-'owdah and (safar) al-hawaalee and take knowledge from them, whilst others label these very students mubtadi'ah. so what is your opinion regarding this?"

the shaykh responded:

"it is known that these (two) have caused many problems in speaking openly against the rulers and the scholars of ahlus-sunnah claiming they are not aware of current affairs; it is not befitting to sit with them and seek knowledge, rather refer to those scholars who are known for their knowledge."

at this point a saudi student interjected and asked:

"and what about 'aa.id al-qarnee?"

the shaykh responded:

"he is from amongst them (al-'owdah and al-hawaalee)"
