Al-Meethaaq would like to thank the speakers and all those who attended Harehills Community Centre, Leeds, to deliver Islamic Lectures on 31st Oct 09 titled:
The Foundation of the Islamic Family in the West
How to act upon the 2 Testimonies and their Conditions
The Crime of Shirk, it's Examples and Consequences.
The feedback we have had after these and other lectures that have been delivered has been extremely positive Masha'Allaah TabarakAllaah. Many of the topics covered over the years are of great importance in this area of Leeds, as there are many misconceptions surrounding Islaam and the Muslims, (i.e many of the affairs of innovations, Islaam's position on terrorism, racism etc). So the Lectures are directed at tackling these and other matters, beginning as all the Prophets and Messengers did by establishing the most important of them being the Tawheed (Singling out Allaah alone with all aspects of worship) of Allaah the Mighty and the Majestic and warning from shirk (Worshipping others besides or along with Allaah). We are first and foremost Grateful to Allaah for His many blessings, which we can never fully thank Him for.
And Allaah the Most High Says: "And if you would count the favours of Allaah, never could you be able to count them. Truly Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." Soorah an-Nahl: 16
"And He gave of all that you asked for, and if you count the blessings of Allaah, never will you be able to count them." Soorah Ibraaheem: 34
We would also like to thank the brothers for their aid and support throughout the years in propagating the true Call to Islaam in Leeds, upon the way of the first 3 Noble & Illustrious generations of Muslims (May Allaah be pleased with them all) and those who followed them and called to their way exactly throughout time up until this day of ours.
The Prophet (Sall-Allaahu 'alayhi wa Sallam) was asked who are the best of generations? He replied "The best generations is the generation in which I have been sent, then those who follow them, then those who follow them."(Bukhari & Muslim)

Also we would like to thank all those who supported the Da'wah in Leeds over the years either by way of attending, donating, informing others about the lectures, offering your help etc, JazaakumAllaahu khayran. We hope for your continued support in spreading the authentic understanding of Islaam in Leeds by way of lectures, free cd's, free Qur'aan's, newsletters, leaflets, authentic books, stalls where Muslims, New Muslims and Non-Muslims can get free literature and ask questions on any misconceptions they may have, or on the very basics of Islaam. We are hoping to establish much more in Leeds, i.e an Islaamic information centre and bookstore etc...
