Our brother Abdulrahman 'Omaysan will be defending his MA research on Sheikh Taquiddin al-Hillaali al-Maghrabi tomorrow at 9am at the Islamic University of Madinah. Tuesday 11 Shawwal 1428. I pray to Allaah he passes with 'excellent' grade 1. Ameen.
Sheikh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree, Sheikh Saalih Suhaimi, Sheikh Muhammad al-'Aqeel will be attending amongst others inshaallaah.

The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Whoever Allaah wishes to show goodness to, He gives him understanding of the religion" (Bukhaaree and Muslim reported by Mu'aawiyyah ibn Abi Sufyaan May Allaah be pleased with him).
Dawrat Imam Ibnul Qaiyum will be starting on Saturday 14 Shawwal 1428 - 27th October 2007 for Two weeks mashaallaah at Qiblatain mosque.

Duroos in Madinah Shawwal 1428/0ctober 2007-10-21
Last weekend the 6 week Dawrah began at Masjid Abu 'Unuq which was packed with beneficial books being taught by the teachers of Jami'at al-Islamiyyah mashaallaah.
Thursday After Fajr until 10am
Exaplanation of Allaah's beautiful names and attributes of Sheikh Sa'di taught by Sheikh Saalih as-Sindi. I heard this dars was very beneficial with lots of principles mentioned. We arrived late due to not finding the place. It is very far out outside the haram borders. It is the district opposite Saudi German Hospital about 1 km behind the STC. I managed to get a recording of it if anyone else missed it.
Ajromiyyah
The ocean of knowledge in Arabic Sheikh Abdulrahman al-Kooni mashaallaah brought this great work with great benefits. The sheikh who studied under Sheikh Muhamnmad Ameen ash-Shinqeeti and others is well known in this area at any level. I have his biography recorded and translated where he talks about his journey to see and study with Sheikh Muhammad Ameen rahimahullaah.
Waraqaat
Sheikh Abdulsalam as-Suhaimi may Allaah reward him for his numerous books refuting the innovators such as the khawaarij and clarifying the deen. Mashaallaah this lesson was full of benefits. The sheikh covered a lot of ground with a clear simple way of teaching mashaallaah.
Seerah
Sheikh Haamid al-Hajoori began by mentioning the background to the books on Seerah and what is meant by Seerah mashaallaah. He was very moving almost crying when talking about the blessed Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
Friday after Asr until after Isha
Tadkirah fi Uloom al-Hadeeth of Ibn Mulaqin
Sheikh Muhammad ibn Haadi began by showing the importance of this knowledge (ilm al-Hadeeth) and how Allaah has protected this deen with the Ulama who clarify to us the authentic narrations from those that have been added to the deen with this blessed science.
'Awaaiq fi talab of Sheikh Abdulsalaam bin Burjis rahimahullaah
Sheikh Saalih az-Zubaydi began by giving a short biography of the sheikh rahimahullaah and his various works and the need for the student of knowledge to know those obstacles that obstruct him from the true path.
Tahqeeq wa idaah fi katheer min masaail al Hajj wal-Umrah of Sheikh Bin Baz rahimahullaah
Sheikh Muhammad Bakheet al-Hujaili began by giving a short biography of the great Imam AbdulAziz Bin Baz rahimahullaah and his efforts in teaching, charity, generousity with time etc. Then he began to cover good ground in the book by mentioning where each hadeeth was taken from and the various narrations and areas of fiqh related to each hadeeth. A very well prepared lesson mashaallaah and beneficial for those wanting to perform the Hajj.
Masaail Jahiliyyah of Muhammad Abdulwahhab
Sheikh Ibrahim al-Ruhaili continues his efforts in reviving the books of the scholars of the past and in this one showing many of the aspects of Jahiliyyah that people still carry with them such as mocking, lying, slandering, belittling others, etc.
There will be another Dawrah for 2 weeks starting Saturday 27th October/ 15th Shawwal 1428 in Masjid Qiblatain. Further detail later inshaallaah.
The timetable isn't out yet but will be soon inshaallaah. Sheikh Ubayd told me he will teaching Kitaab al-Hajj from Lulu wal Marjan everyday after Maghrib inshaallaah.
Sheikh Ubayd will continue with Menhaaj us-Saalikeen on Friday 26th Oct 2007/ 14th Shawwal 1428. He said he will delay teaching Aqeedahtul Wasitiyyah because of the dawrah next week inshaallaah.
Sheikh Abdulmuhsin al-'Abbad will be teaching Sunan Ibn Majah from the beginning starting Monday 22 Oct 2007/ 10th Shawwal 1428 inshaallaah.
During Ramadan a number of Mashayakh visited sheikh Ubayd from amongst those in Yemen such as Sheikh Abdulmusawar, a Sheikh from San'aa, I think it was Sheikh Munee'. These two sitting were full of beneficial advice from the sheikh and recorded. We managaed to see sheikh Rabee' in Ramadan, he was well and had his doors open everyday after Asr while he was teaching Tafseer ibn Katheer even in the last ten days of Ramadan mashaallaah. I saw the sheikh after Eed and he was giving a lecture over the phone to the centers in Yemen mashaallaah. I saw Sheikh Muhammad Abdulwahhab al-Banna after Eed and he looked well, he was in the haram in Makkah reading Qur'an and also answering questions as crowds of people asked him numerous questions.
May Allaah reward all the mashayakh for their efforts in spreading beneficial knowledge at a blessed time occupying themselves with that which will aid them on a day when no wealth nor children will be able to benefit you except that you come to Allaah will a pure sincere heart.
