Dear brother's in Islam,
Its good to see the flyer for the upcoming event on Islams War on Terrorism (NJ). May Allah Aid those involved with that. The conference looks similar to the previous conferences, that is to spread the Islamic stance on these affairs of Irhaab (terrorism). So the information is primarily to the public (Kuffar)and then the Muslims it would seem.
Well to the point. The site from Cair Cair's Media page Cair http://www.cair.com/default.asp?Page=contactMedia has a complete. I mean complete listing of the MEDIA, Radio, TV, NEWS etc up to the all of the reporters etc. All you have to do is enter your zip code and it will list all of the media sources for your area, TV news, Newspapers and radio.
I hope the brothers can benefit from this since the message is being directed to the public. How can the public benefit from this good info if they cant read it in there papers, see it on the TV or hear it on the radio? Of course most media is geared towards what will sell papers and the truth might not be so profitable for them however thats something else. A point to be aware of is that each of these radio stations are required by the FCC to provide some alternative coverage. These Islamic talks would definetely fit in.
Just last week there was some politician on NPR Radio blaming the Muslims for not speaking up and talking against terrorism etc. Well we know thats not true as Ahlu Sunnahs sites are filled with the truth of the matter. But most of the public dont know the sites to go and see for themselves what the Muslims have to say. And then again we all fall short except those whom Allah has Mercy on in freeing Islam from these lies and false allegations.
Lastly most Cable TV companies and Radio Channels offer weekly free air time to organizations, many churches take advantage of this to give their dawah. All if not then most of them only play cassette tapes, CD's or videos few do live broadcasting. This is another tool that we can take advantage of perferably those that run the Masaajid.
So you never know perhaps CNN can put some world coverage for this event on their site or broadcast even if it be for a minute.
