Bismillah Alhamdulillah' As-Salatu Wa-Assalaamu Alaa Rasoolullah

Just to inform the brothers and sisters of Coventry and the surrounding areas that the salafeeyoon have been establishing the Juma'ah Prayers at Coventry University for approximately 5 years now, walhamdulillaah and in those 5 years we have seen the number of people attending slowly rising by the permission of Allaah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

In the past we have had amongst others the likes of Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Waahid, Abu Fudayl Abdur-Raqeeb, Abdulilah Lahmami, Abu Idris Muhammad Khan ?AKA Chan", Abu Salmaan Talha as well as other brothers co-operate with us in delivering these khutbahs to the people studying at the university and those working and living in the surrounding areas.

On average for a Juma'ah Prayer in the Sports Hall of the Students Union Building on Priory Street (Opposite Coventry Cathedral) we have approximately 300+people (this would not be an exaggeration) both men and women.  Sometimes this includes non-Muslims as well.

InshaAllaah the society is run by the salafeeyoon promoting this blessed daw'ah.  Giving khutbahs based on authentic sources from the likes of Shaykh al-Albaanee, Ibn Baaz, Ibn al-'Uthaymeen and others including the Major Scholars of today including Shaykh al-Fawzaan, Shaykh Rabee'and Shaykh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree, as well as those that came before them from our Salaf.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Banna was asked about praying Juma'ah Prayer at the University over praying in the local Masajid and he advised the brothers and sisters to pray with the people closest to the Sunnah.  It was then mentioned to the Shaykh that it was a University and not a Masjid and the Shaykh advised again that the people to pray with those who are closest to the Sunnah.

If you need any further information then please contact Abu Hamza Ashfaq upon his return from Umrah after Ramadaan on 07947-542624 or alternatively you can call 07961-488114 for the timing and location as sometimes the Sports Hall is not available.

And Allaah subhanahu wa ta'ala knows best.

Sub'hanakAllahummaa Wabi'Hamdika Wa ash-hadu-an'laaIlaaha IllAllaah Wa-Asthaghfiruka Wa Thoobu Ilayk
