Masjid as-Sunnah Project
Dear Brother/Sister in Islaam,
As-Salaamu 'alaikum,
We would like to bring to your attention the 'Masjid as-Sunnah Project'. The project aims to raise funds in order to enable us to either purchase land and build a purpose built Masjid, or purchase an existing building and renovate.
The project is in its infancy, however, the plan includes catering for 3,000 worshippers, primary & secondary schools, funeral service, 200 vehicle on-site parking and more, in shaa' Allaah.
How often have we found overcrowding on Fridays and during conferences at the Salafi Masjid? Parking problems are likely to get worse because of future plans in the area. Severe rain causes flooding inside the masjid, school and even the bookstore sometimes! We mustn't be content with carrying on like this. A lot of work still remains to be done. Alhamdulillaah, we have reached this far but all of our buildings are rented which is a severe drain on our finances. Hence, we need to start investing now so that we can have our own place in the future, in shaa' Allaah. Quite simply, what will we leave behind for the generations to come?
We need to start working collectively to achieve this goal. Get your family, friends and neighbours involved. Know that all funds raised will be solely directed towards fulfilling this responsibility. How much of our life spans have passed and Allaah knows best, what remains?
The following methods will be used to keep everyone informed, in shaa' Allaah;
Through a blog site
Mail shots
Notice board
Target thermometer
Open meetings
If each person from amongst our community were to donate 1,000 pounds we would achieve our target NOW in shaa'Allaah! Remember, spending for the sake of Allaah, will not decrease your wealth whatsoever.
ýý And spend in the cause of Allaah and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth in the Cause of Allaah), and do good. Truly, Allaah loves Al Muhsineen (the good-doers)

ýý Uthmaan (radi Allaahu 'anhu) said, "I heard the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wassallam) saying, 'Whoever builds for Allaah a Masjid, Allaah would build for him a similar place in Jannah.'"

As'Salaam wa Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatahu,
We would like to thank those brothers and sisters who organised and participated in the fundraising event during the winter conference at Masjid as-Salafi. Within which we raised just over Three Thousand pounds - to help establish Masjid as-Sunnah.
We have raised 1,400 pounds on Saturday and 1,800 pounds on Sunday (3,200 pounds raised during the conference) Jazaak Allaahu Khairan.

how much money are you aiming to save inshallah?
May allah make it easy for you brothers.
This would certainly be a big improvememt and free up much funds for your dawah work and inshallah we will benefit from that, and also benefit from a better masjid although I do love masjid as salafyah a lot
