Assalaamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu,
Please can the tullaabul 'ilm ask the ulamaa these questions?
1. Here in India, the people congratulate one another by saying Ramadhaan Mubarak when they see the Crescent of Ramadhaan & by saying 'Eid Mubaarak when they see the Crescent of Shawwaal. Is this legislated in the Sunnaah & is it permissible?
2. Also on the Day of 'Eid, the people congratulate one another by embracing one another thrice & many think this is from the Sunnah. Is this action allowed & is there any basis for this in the Sunnah?
Please reply soon inshaAllaah before Ramadhaan & 'Eid are over.
