i have a Question insha Allah

i was told that there is a hadith is sheikh Al-Albanees silsilatuh hadithu sahiha in one of his volumes there is a hadith that says
"No women who believes in Allah and the Last Day will leave the house with out a mahram"  also the hadith that is in Bukhari where one of the khalifas banned the women from going to the friday Prayers, andthe sahabiyyats went to Aicha radiAllahu Anha and told her about it, and she said if Rasululloh salalahu alaihi wa sallam knew of the fitnah that is happening now, then he would have prohibited teh women from going to the masjid just like the jewish women were prohibited from going to their places of worship.  And the brother gives these two hadiths as proof that it is Haram! for the women to take EVEN ONE step out of her home without a Mahram Even if she has her husbands permission.  So even if the women wanted to go and learn Arabic or Islam if her Mahram does not take her then it is HARAM for her to GO and the only way she can leave without a mahram is if she is in dire need like she is about to DIE or her child is about to die and needs to go to the hospital!!!!
Also i have been told that because of the increase in fitnah in the USA  We have to take the Rules in Islam Harder then we would if we were in a safe Muslim country (and i dont think a Safe country exists now adays)  what do the scholars say about this?
Have the past scholars such as Sheikh Albanee, Sheikh Ibn Baz, and others given fatawa on this issue before?  Your help Is NEEDED Right Away
barakallahu feek
Please send this question for a Scholar to answer
Assalamu aliakum wa rahmatullohi wa Barakatuh

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Here are some of the fataawa (from www.fatwa-online.com) from the 'Ulema on this issue, they should provide you with some information on this issue, Insha'Allaah;

A woman travelling by airplane without a mahram
http://www.fatwa-online.com/fataawa/womensissues/mahram/0020917.htm

A woman does not act as a mahram for another woman
http://www.fatwa-online.com/fataawa/womensissues/mahram/0000206_10.htm

Ruling concerning a woman riding with a non-mahram chauffeur
http://www.fatwa-online.com/fataawa/womensissues/mahram/0000206_47.htm

Sending a maid for Hajj with a group of women or a Hajj package group
http://www.fatwa-online.com/fataawa/worship/hajjandumrah/haj002/0000219_1.htm

However, this is where i would like to ask for some information regarding a hadeeth, that Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan hafithahullah quotes in the fatwa "Sending a maid for Hajj with a group of women or a Hajj package group."

Could one of the Tulaab ul'Ilm please enquire into the meaning and explanation of the hadeeth quoted (from www.fatwa-online.com):

((It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allaah and the Last Day to travel the distance of two days, except with a mahram)), [al-Bukhaaree, volume 2, pages 35-36].

The issue is that of the two days, is this a condition of a level of permissability for a woman to travel if the distance of travel is less than two days? Is a Mahram supposed to be present during a journey of less than two days? And what do the two days represent? Does it represent the geographical distance? The time journey? The time journey considered by the people of her residence/community of being that of two days?

Please makesure you read the fatwa in order to understand the context of the fatwa and the reason behind why the hadeeth has been quoted. Because the Shaykh hafithahullah states that it is impermissable for the woman to travel with a group of women or a Hajj package group (with regard the subject) and although the hadith states an issue with regard 'two days' obviously the traditions of Hajj and its completeion are more than two days, so then the hadith would make absolute sense.

OR is it that i have totally misunderstood the hadeeth!

Imaam al-Awzaa'ee said, "Patiently restrict yourselves to the sunnah, stop where the people stopped, say what they said, avoid what they avoided. Take to the path of the salaf, for indeed what was sufficient for them was sufficient for you."
