As-Salaamu 'Alaikum wa-Rahmatullaahi wa-Baraakaatu,

Will you please post these questions so that I may receive an answer:

1) What is the permissibility of someone studying the laws of America in an educational setting in order to work as a paralegal or lawyer?

2) According to Shk. Bin Baz (Rahimahullah) and Ibn Jibreen, in Fatawa Islamiyyah, vol. 5 / pgs. 19-20, Shaykh Bin Baz has said that insuring ones property and life is forbidden; it is not permissible due to Al-Gharar (The selling of that which is not present). And, Ibn Jibreen, holds the position of it car insurance being harmful (because the insurance company takes money from people and may not require it because one may never be involved in a car accident - since this is the reason for taking the money). So, do we get "full coverage" or "liability" the lesser of the sin, or "no coverage" and operate a vehicle without insurance - keeping in mind that "IF" we get into a car incident the fitnah will follow?

Note: Without a doubt I hold the position that car insurance is not permissible, but here in this country of America we are bound by the law by the government, and in some cases such as dealing in Riba we have many alternatives - and there is no fitnah, but many states are not as New York City with mass transportation, and so the Ulaama have said that the sin is upon the one who does the enforcing.
