Jazakallah Khayr. wa'alaykum salam Abu Abbas.

Yaa Abaa Abas, try emailing SalafiPublications or TROID to know about the people who work there.

We don't know any great scholar in the world today except in Saudi. There's no great scholar today (min kibaaril ulamaa) in Morrocco, nor in Egypt, nor in Kuwait, nor in Yemen. So who from the brothers of spubs and troid did study with the Kibaar ? Note : I know that brothers from spubs and troid are well-known to our beloved scholars. I do not ask for a tazkiah from the scholars to them, for Shaikh Rabee, Shaikh Muqbil, Shaikh 'Ubayd and others are aware of the condition of our brothers and praised them. My question is : what is their level ? And how long did they study and did they study with the Kibaar ? Baarakallaahu feekum Wassalaamu Alaikum

Al hamdulillahir rabbil aalameen was salaatu was salaamu 'ala nabeeyinaa Muhammad wa 'ala aalihi wa sahbihi ajma'een I noticed that our noble brother Hassan as-Sumalee(hafidhahullaah) wasn't mentioned as one of the brothers at Spubs. He had studied under Shaykh Muqbil(rahimahullaah) for about 4 years. I had asked Abu Bilaal as-Suwaydee(hafidhahullaah), about Hassan's time in Yemen and he told me "I think he was there for about 4 years, but benefitted as if he was there for 10." Abu Bilaal is one of the students in the west who've studied under Shaykh Muqbil for several years and is thiqah. Lastly, I'd like to remind myself and remind others that Islaam is about priciples not personalities. Although it is important where we get our knowledge from, it doesn't automatically mean that because fulaan studied under one of the kibaar that we can take from fulaan. We've seen this with the likes of Adnan Ar'oor and Munajjid. They studied under great scholars but yet they are ta'baan! As well, keep in mind that not everyone is capable of studying in Saudia, so they may have to settle with studying in other places, where there are students of knowledge who have been given taskiyah by the kibaar. For example, if fulaan from America studied under Shaykh Fawzee al-Atharee(hafidhahullaah) for a number of years, do we say "Fulaan didn't really study because Shaykh Fawzee is not from the kibaar"? This would be something foolish, because fulaan would learn alot more with Shaykh Fawzee, insha'allaah, than he would learn in any masjid in America! What our main concern should be is that our brothers in the west are on sound aqeedah and manhaj, and that they bring us the kalaam of the ulamaa, and that they don't go above and beyond their level of knowledge! If they do opposite of this then we should be weary, but if this is not the case, we should love and support our brothers! Aboo Shaahir as-Salafee

Assalaamu Alaykum The brother Abu Hakeem Bilaal Davies attended the lessons of Shaykh Ubaid Al-Jabiri, Shaykh Faalih and others from the Scholars of Madinah. Abu Talha likewise studied at the university of Madinah and attended the lessons of the major Scholars while there. Abu Khadeejah studied with Shaykh Abu Anas Hamd Al-Uthmaan whilst in Kuwait. Abu Haatim Farooq attended the lessons of Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Haadi and remained in the Markaz. Bilaal Hussein attended the lessons of Shaykh Muqbil and remained in the Markaz. Mushaf Abu Tasneem spent time in the Markaz of Shaykh Muqbil. Abdur Raqeeb Abu Fudayl studied in the Markaz of Shaykh Muqbil.

Assalaamu Alaikum waRahmatullaahi waBarakaatuhu, Please could SPubs.Com or one of the noble brothers connected to SalafiPublications, e.g. Abu Khadeejah, Hassan as-Sumaalee, Abu Iyaad post in this discussion for some clarity. Could you please list details of (a) where they studied (b) how much they studied (c) how long they studied (d) what they studied (e) who they studied under i.e whose student are they? (f) which scholars gave them tazkiyah and the tazkiyahs themselves i.e what did the scholars say? for each of the following noble brothers (plz don't miss any out): Abu Talha Dawood Burbank Abu Hakeem Bilal Davies Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq Hassan As-Somali Abu Khadeejah Abu Sufyaan 'Abdul Kareem MacDowell Talha Davis Bilal Hussain Abu Tasneem Mushaf Abu Haatim Farooq Abu Fudayl 'AbdurRaqeeb I ask this because many people may raise doubts about the status of the brothers and it would be useful to have a once and for all clear answer to these questions. I have read what al-haddul-faasil said but it would be best if one the SPubs brothers themselves answered it. Wassalaamu Alaikum waRahmatullaah
