BBC Reporter's Muslim Plea After Riyadh Shooting. |
|
I know Frank Gardner personally. He has a better understanding of Islaam than most of the people of Takfeeree and Jihaadee mentality I've met. ?The Times? reported the following:
 | quote: |
Frank Gardner, the BBC correspondent who was shot yesterday in Saudi Arabia, cried out: "I'm a Muslim, help me" as he lay bleeding on the ground, according to a Saudi policeman. The officer, who arrived at the scene shortly afterwards, also said that Mr Gardner, 42, carried a copy of the Koran with him, a book sometimes used by Western journalists to reassure Islamic militants. Mr Gardner cried out as he was stretched on the road, covered in blood from multiple bullet wounds in a slum area of southern Riyadh known as a hotbed of hardliners. |

Shaykh Ibn Baaz, may Allaah's mercy be upon him, the former Mufti of Saudi Arabia, said concerning previous terrorist acts in Riyaadh: | quote: |
?And there is no doubt that this act can only be undertaken by one who does not believe in Allaah or the Last Day. You will not find anyone who believes in Allaah or the Last Day with correct and sound faith, performing this criminal, vile act due to which great harm and corruption has occurred. Only vile souls which are filled with enmity, jealousy, evil, corruption and absence of faith in Allaah and His Messenger can perform the likes of these acts. We ask Allaah for pardon and safety.? (Majmoo? Fataawaa Ibn Baaz 9/253-255) |
