Assalamualaikoem, I am looking for guidance. I am a 'new' Muslim. I want (inshaAllaah) to know more about the basics of Islam. Has there been made a guideline for those who are new Muslims and want to know more about islam? A list of books given in a specific sequence (sequence based on which book to study first, second etc.)? The questions i often get from non-muslims are: Why have you chosen the islam as your religion? Are there evidences that the islam is the truth? Does anybody know if there's a book with the topic: evidences of the existence of Allah evidences that the Islam is the true religion InshaAllaah, somebody can help me. I'm eager to learn more about Islam. At the moment I feel like there's chaos in my head. I don't know where to start.

wa 'alaikumus-salaam warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh our dear brother Antoine, I hope you are doing well insha'Allah and that the "choas" has left you. May Allah bless you and make it easy for you to traverse the Straight Path to His Jannah. Alhamdulillah, the links the brothers have given above are very beneficial, insha'Allah, especially as regards the foundations of our Religion. Insha'Allah, regarding seeking knowledge, these would be of benefit: 1) Ten Guidelines for Obtaining Knowledge (The book is relatively short and the first 3 Chapters are quite beneficial). 2) Laying the Foundations for Seeking Knowledge Insha'Allah, as you advance, you can find many more benefical articles and e-books on www.al-ibaanah.com But insha'Allah, remember that it is important that you don't push yourself too much, rather take it easy in such a way that you would be able to continue and be consistent. Also start with the most important books and topics, (insha'Allah, the discussion on pages 8 to 10 of the second link above touches on this). May Allah bless you brother and grant you much good, Your brother, Saadiq.
