There are usually 7-8 lessons over 5 days which are about 60 mins each. Book 1 is taught over the period of 4 months along with the supporting books and the same for Book 2 also. Book 3 is taught in two parts, up to lesson 18 in the 1st 4 months then the rest of the book in the next 4 months.

If you or any other of the salafees have any more questions regarding these books or need help in the rules or would like a copy of all the rules in these books then send to madinaharabic@hotmail.com

there are al-Qiraa'a (reading, perfecting reading skills), ta'beer (expression, speaking), kitaaba (writing), hadeeth, fiqh, tawheed, Imlaa (punctuation), nusoos (various texts of poetry, balaagha and qur'aan), tafseer, taareekh(history) etc..

can anyone give the translations when needed please.

HERE IS A LITTLE EXAMPLE OF WHATS IN THE 2 YEAR SYLLABAS FILE:

(this is some of what you find by clicking on al *masatawaa* al awal (bk 1 stuff)

Qiraa'ah:
there is a table with the headings
an nus al qiraaee=                             *al hawaar*=
1)al jaami'ah islamiyyah                       1)*ta'aareef*
2)al masalam akhoo al masalam                 2)fee *'amaadah al qabool*
(these contain exercises similar to those found in madinah book)

Ta'beer:
1)al hawaar al awal-  al qaa'a been rasheed wa muhammad
2)al hawaar ath thaanee- khaalid wa muhammad
(these contain exercises similar to those found in madinah book)

*Ta'leemul* kitaabah:
1)ad darsul awal
2)ad darsuth thaanee
(these contain lessons on how to write arabic)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
What would be very benefical for all of us is if one of our noble brothers could tell us how we bring all these things together, so that we can study effectively. This is the first time i have ever known that you need supporting books to help study the madinah books. May Allaah bless abu Abdullaah for putting Minaahij mahad ta'leemul lughatul arabiyyah (The Centers way of learning Arabic Language) on fatwa online.

jazakaAllaahu khair

( i haved e-mailed the link above and recieved some good info, but I thought it is far more benefical in posting things here so everyone can benefit)

What i need is a plan, similar to the one they would use in madinah.

eg.
wk1
MON= 60 MIN- lesson 1-2 from madinah bk 1 (h/w=memorize/ excercises)
WED= 60 MIN- lesson 1 al hawaar= 1)ta'aareef
FRI= 60 MIN- revise lesson 1-2 & start lesson 3

wk2
MON= 60 MIN- lesson 3 from madinah bk 1 (h/w=memorize/ excercises)
WED= 60 MIN- lesson 1 al hawaar al awal-al qaa'a been rasheed wa muhammad
FRI= 60 MIN- revise lesson 3 & start lesson 4

this is the only way i can think of splitting the books up (excluding kitaabah/writing), how did you students do it, plz give us an idea.

My advice to all who study by themselves is to study Book 1 with the with book 1 of Qiraa'ah and book 1 of Ta'beer 1st of all. if you can give book 1 a hour each day from Monday to Friday then do so. After each hour, spend half hour on Ta'beer and half hour on Qiraa'ah. So you will study 2 hours a day. If that is too much then do it every other day.

When you have completed book 1 but don't know how well you have studied the book, email madinaharabic@hotmail.com and I will send you an exam on Book 1, when you have completed it and sent it back, I will mark it and send back results in shaa Allaah. This is open for everyone.

Do the same for Book 2 and move onto book 2 of Ta'beer and Qiraa'ah and also the book of Hadeeth that has 20 hadeeth. Try and memorize 1 hadeeth a week. On the side you should read the book called Imlaa which is for punctuation as this is important also, and the Tawheed book. Try and memorize the proofs of Tawheed. You can also request an exam paper for Book 2.

When you have completed Book 2, try and go through the other supporting books that accompany Book 2 before moving on to Book 3.

When starting book 3, study up to lesson 18 with book 3 of Qiraa'ah and ta'beer, again reading the second book of Imlaa. when you have reached and completed lesson 18, read the 2nd book of tawheed and start the 2nd book of 20 hadeeth and fiqh.

when you decide to carry on and complete the book, start book 4 of Qiraa'ah and Ta'beer. You should now in shaa Allaah be comfortable in reading and using a dictionary so you can start the tafseer and Nusoos.

A tip for perfecting your reading skills is to read out loud all the time. Try and think in arabic and make up conversations even though people may think you have gone mad, your dreams might also start to be in arabic also!!!

When completing book 3 it is highly recomended to start the book Aajuramiyyah which contains a lot of what you previously studied. You can buy tapes for this book done by as shaikh Uthaymeen رحمه الله which are very very good and very easy to understand. These tapes are also in book form in one Volume wal hamdu lillaah.

A brother found a mistake on the first example for 'asmaa'ul Ishaarah' it reads 'haadhaa KiNaabun' but should be 'kiTaabun' a taa instead of a noon. \So those who have already received pleased take note and simply add one dot to the noon. I just also spotted 2 more typing errors. On the 2nd to last page of mamnoo' minas-sarf, 1. the name is TaLha and not Taaha. and 3.b:the word Jaw'aan has 2 ayns and should only have 1. If anyone would like another copy with the corrections then just email at the same address. Jazaakumullaahu khair!

There are a lot of additions on the notes that you won't find in book 1 but have been put in for benefit.

The text is black in color, the rule that is being taught is in blue and when it appears in an example showing how it works or the effect it has upon the words after ii is in dark red. They were color coded so that if Allaah wills it becomes easier for you understand the rule. I was hoping that someone who has a decent knowledge of the English grammar could explain in English under each rule and send to me.
I hope in the near future that we can go through the rules online on paltalk or maybe start the book.
