Question: There have been a number of new printings of the Fatawa of Ibn Taymiyyah [Rahimahullaah] I have seen the 37 volumes and the 18 volumes and the 20 volumes, which of these are the best to buy keeping in mind shipping and handling and printing?

You can usualy be safe by sticking to the older prints of all the books. That's a rule i picked up a long time ago.

i have the 20 volumes with the takhreej of anwar baaz published by daar ibn hazm, it was originally published by 'ubaykaan.  It has all the references to the old 37 volume version on each page along with nice new indexes by hadeeth, fiqh issues, etc.  i don't know of a reason to get the old one these days, wallaahu a'lam

As-Salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Could I ask either brother Moosaa or AbuUkkasha how I can also get a set of the Fatawa of Ibn Taymiyyah (Rahimahullaah)?  I am in the US and can find no shops within 200 miles that sells much by Shaykh-ul-Islaam.  Let me know, insha'allah, the best means of obtaining a set.

Baraka'Allah feek,

salaamu alaikum
Umar At-Taalib
