"Shaykh Ahmad, gatekeeper of the Prophet's masjid, saw the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam), and he told him to convey this to the whole ummah on his behalf...40,000 of this ummah died this week without any eemaan, a death of jaahiliyyah... women are not obeying their husbands these days... [and near the end] anyone who does not spread this message carries great sin..." and on and on...

THIS STORY IS A LIE - THE MOST EVIL OF LIES - A LIE AGAINST THE MESSENGER OF ALLAAH (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam)

And he said: "Whoever lies upon me intentionally shall take his seat in the Hellfire." (Muslim #4) - mutawaatir hadeeth

And "It is sufficient for a man to be considered a liar that he narrates everything he hears." (Muslim #5)

WHAT THE SCHOLARS HAVE SAID ABOUT THIS FABRICATION:

quote:
"...We have heard this fabricated wasiyyah (admonishment) many times over the years, as it spread here and there through the ranks of the people... the liar who invented it claims many things of which are of the clearest kinds of lies and the most obvious forms of falsehood... I even asked the family members of the "Shaykh Ahmad" who it is attributed to about this wasiyyah, and they said it was a lie that never came from him... And even if the liar who invented it was to swear 1000 times or more that it is true, and even if he invoked the most horrible of punishments upon himself to prove he is truthful - he is still not truthful or correct, rather it is from the worst and filthiest forms of falsehood (lying on the Messenger sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam)..." -Shaykh 'Abdul-'Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) from his long exposition of this fabrication (His Fataawee: 2/897)

quote:
"This wasiyyah is fabricated...and Shaykh Muhammad Rasheed Ridhaa said it is about 100 years old, and that he heard it when he was seeking knowledge (as a youth)... Whoever sees this being passed around must rip it up and it is not permissible to spread it except to clarify that it is a lie..."  - Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-'Uthaymeen (His Fataawee: 8/330-331)

quote:
"...Something invented by a stray shaytaan... this wasiyyah is an old lie, it appeared in Egypt over 80 years ago, and the scholars have exposed it and clarified that it is a lie...  And some ignorant people have got hold of it, printed it, an distributed it, affected by the threats of punishment in it, since the disobedient one who fabricated it said that whoever prints such and such number of copies and distributes it will get whatever he wants... forgiven...better job...his debts paid off...and whoever does not believe it will be disgraced and face such and such outcome..."  - Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (al-Khutab al-Minbariyyah: 1/308)

quote:
"...A fabricated lie, which is obvious..."  Permanent Council of Scholars, Led by Shaykh Ibn Baaz (Their Fataawee: 3/73 #999)

Asalam Alaikum,

Thesesdays there are so many replicas of this message but diffrent words used and without the mentioning of the Shaikh. Like say this and this then pass it to this number of people, promising those who do with a reward and those who don't with punishment. Now I see where it all started, most likly inspired by this lie about the shiekh. I presume this fatwa applies to these messages as well?

Asalam

The above fataawa are under the section "The Bid`ahs of the so-called "guardian of the Prophet's room" and the like" on the website of the Fatwa committee. InshAllaah these would answer your question.
