Bismi'llaah wal hamdu lilaah was-salaatu wa salaam 'ala Rasulilaah wa ba'd:
Here in the west it is commonly believed that whenever the 13th of a month falls on a friday it is considered to be bad luck or an evil omen. Sadly we even hear some Muslims imitating the kufaar by repeating this baseless claim and Allaah's Protection is sought. The following is taken from the book Kitab At-Tauhid by Shaykh-ul-Islaam Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab (rahimahullaah)

With valid Isnad, Abu Dawud reported that Uqbah bin Aamir (radi Allaahu Ta'ala 'anhu) said: At-Tiyarah (taking bad omens) was once mentioned before Allaah's Messenger (sallallahu alaihi wa salam) and he said, "The best form of it is Al-Fa'l (optimism or the expectation that an event will occur by Allaah's Permission). It does not prevent a Muslim from his object. Whenever any of you sees something he dislikes he should pray: "O Lord, none but you bring good things! None but You prevent evil things! There is no power and no strength except in You"

It is narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (radi Allaahu Ta'ala 'anhu) in a Marfu' Hadeeth: "At-Tiyarah is Shirk, At-Tiyarah is Shirk. There is none among us who does not feel something in his heart about At-Tiyarah. But Allaah, due to deep trust in Him, removes it." [This Hadeeth was reported by At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud.] and it is stated that its last part is the staement of Ibn Mas'ud.

just another way of the kuffar making shirk look normal.
phobia of the number 13 - Triskadekaphobia.
and the silly kuffar of america dont even have a 13th floor in the hotels or even a room 13 im sure some of the brothers from the states can confirm this too!!!!!
