In the Name of Allaah...

quote:
I was flicking through sky TV yesterday and a channel was showing masjid an nabawwi live at 12:00pm UK time, they showed it open and stated that it was open as part of the celebration of the beloved prophets birthday ( saw ). They are leading many people astray in the UK, please provide with some proof that the masjid was closed so i may show the people that this channel is lieing

I do not think that it is a problem to know that the Prophet's Masjid (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) was open on the night when the people of innovation observe his (assumed) birthday.

That is because Prophet's masjid (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) or at least some parts of it are open 24 hours a day.

Furthermore, there is a new TV channel that broadcasts images of people gathering, praying, reading Qur'aan (even sleeping) there 24 hours a day LIVE.  Other stations could easily record from it and play it or use it as a live feed.

Put these two ideas together and you could possibly imagine people on misguidance coming together in the Prophet's Masjid (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) and violating his guidance in one way or another, and that being broadcast on TV.

I do not understand how this happening would in any way constitute some kind of proof for an action in our Religion that has no basis in the texts and the righteous Salaf never heard of it, as our Deen is based on the Book and the Sunnah as the Salaf practiced it, not what the people of today do in the masjid of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) on live TV.

And Allaah knows best.
