1. Is there anything like sufi practices for purifying the soul where one has a relationship with a sheikh and admits his/her weaknesses of the heart. He discloses feelings of jealousy, envy, obsession etc. Tasawwuf - is there space for anything from it in Islam.
2. Is it permissible to disclose such matters (i.e. jealousy, envy, obsession) to another. It happens between friends when asking for advice, is this permissible?
3. How to know when to disclose and when to just read and find out for oneself?\Like if someone missed a prayer and needs advice on it. Or what if someone had desire for one they were not permitted to desire? Or if someone felt they had love for that which was haraam - like music or smoking?
4. People have disclosed to me [weaknesses to certain major sins]. Is this permissible and what might I say in response?
