salaam alaykum,

a question to the regular and most experienced du'aats:

what do we do, or how do we answer an ignorant muslim or a non-muslim, when they hear or see a salafi using foul language, or speaking ill of a person of innovation( by that i mean stuff like, hes an "french idiot" as was reported by a non-salafi), saying stuff that which was not needed or called for or plain bad mannered mockery.

barakallahu feek

wasalaam alaykum

Wa alaikumussalam

When a Salafi errors or commits a sin then this does not necessitate that the principles (Usool) of the Salafi Da?wah are false. A person who commits sins should still enjoin the good and forbid the evil. This is based on the following Aayah:
 Al-Ma'idah (5):78
áõÚöäó ÇáøóÐöíäó ßóÝóÑõæÇú ãöä Èóäöí ÅöÓúÑóÇÆöíáó Úóáóì áöÓóÇäö ÏóÇæõæÏó æóÚöíÓóì ÇÈúäö ãóÑúíóãó Ðóáößó ÈöãóÇ ÚóÕóæÇ æøóßóÇäõæÇú íóÚúÊóÏõæäó

Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawûd (David) and 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allâh and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds.

In addition, the enjoining of the good and the forbidding of the evil must be based on knowledge as Allah (subhanahu wa ta?aalaa) says:
 Yusuf (12):108
Þõáú åóÜÐöåö ÓóÈöíáöí ÃóÏúÚõæ Åöáóì Çááøåö Úóáóì ÈóÕöíÑóÉò ÃóäóÇú æóãóäö ÇÊøóÈóÚóäöí æóÓõÈúÍóÇäó Çááøåö æóãóÇ ÃóäóÇú ãöäó ÇáúãõÔúÑößöíäó

Say (O Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam)): "This is my way; I invite unto Allâh (i.e. to the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me (also must invite others to Allâh i.e to the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) with sure knowledge. And Glorified and Exalted be Allâh (above all that they associate as partners with Him). And I am not of the Mushrikûn (polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh; those who worship others along with Allâh or set up rivals or partners to Allâh)."

It was said: "I would prefer to be a tail in the truth than to be a head in falsehood."
