salaam alaykum what should be done if the salafi youth are taking part in takfeer as part of the game or play(jokingly)? i.e among the youth today, they seem to take the takfeer lightly, and so when they are mocking those kharji groups like hizb ut tahrir etc.. they start to "play about" with the takfeer, for example one of the youth will say to the other "if you dont give me your book your kaafir" or if one of them refused to do something they would make takfeer on each other "jokingly" as they claim!! Audhu billaah please help me here as this is a real situation p.s. the youths ages involved are from 15-21 so this should be clear insha'Allah wasalaamualaykum

Say: "Was it at Allâh, and His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) that you were mocking?" |

|
| When asked about shaving the beard and shortening the lower garment as being trivial issues, Shaikh bin Baaz had this to say:
| quote: |
There are no unimportant issues in Islaam, instead all of it is serious and is aimed at guiding man to the best way. It is divided into basics and minor issues, and the issues of the beard and shortening the garment come under the minor issues, not basic issues.
|
|
And again when he was asked about joking in Islaam and is it included with the speech that is idle talk he rahimahullaah said:
| quote: |
There is nothing wrong with funny talk and joking, if it is truthful, especially if it is not done a lot. The Prophet sallallaahu alaihe wa sallam used to joke but he never said anything but that which was true. But if it involves telling lies, then it is not permitted, since the Prophet sallallaahu alaihe wa sallam said: ?Woe to the one who speaks and lies in order to make people laugh; woe to him, woe to him.? |
|
Additionally, (and even though the Ulamaa of Ahlus Sunnah differ as to the authenticity of this hadeeth) it is said that the Prophet sallallaahu alaihe wa sallam said:
| quote: |
?There are three things that the serious is serious and the joking of it is serious (and they are); an-Nikaah (Marriage), at-Talaaq (Divorce) and ar-Raj'ah (revocation/breaking the iddah/taking back one's wife)
|

Collected by Imaams Aboo Daawood, at-Tirmidhee and Ibn Maajah If this is the case - and it is - then how will these youths look at the the following hadeeths: Ibn `Umar radiyallaahu 'anhu said that the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu alaihe wa sallam said:
| quote: |
"When a person calls his brother (in Islaam) a kaafir one of them will certainly deserve the title. If the one addressed is as he has claimed, the disbelief of the man is confirmed, but if it is untrue, then it will return back to him.'' |
|
Collected by Imaams al-Bukharee and Muslim. And also collected by them, Aboo Dharr radiyallaahu 'anhu said I heard the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu alaihe wa sallam) saying:
| quote: |
"If somebody accuses another of disbelief or calls him the enemy of Allaah, such an (unjustified) accusation will return to him (the accuser) if the accused is free of it.'' |
|
May Allaah guide them and us and give us success, for surely He Azza wa Jalla has said in His Book:
| | Al-Mu'minun (23):3 |
æóÇáøóÐöíäó åõãú Úóäö ÇááøóÛúæö ãõÚúÑöÖõæäó And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allâh has forbidden). |
