Bismillaahi wal hamdulillaahi was salaatu was salaamu alla rasoolillaahi ammaa
ba'd.

Then as Salafiyyoon, trying our best to follow the kitaab and the sunnah upon the
way of the salaf of this ummah, trying to emulate them in all of our affairs i.e.
Aqeedah, manhaj, tarbiyyah, akhlaaq and all of those actions that bring about the
pleasure of the Owner of the throne, Allaah the Most High!
From the practise of our salaf is that they would try their upmost best to keep well
away from sin wether big or small. All sins were the same as they all lead a person
to the same place!
I heard our noble brother Bilal abu Hakeem (zaadahullaahu Ilm wal aml bihi)
saying; 'it is not befiting for the callers of da'watus salafiyyah, the callers of this
blessed manhaj to be themselves riddled with sin'.

Of the best of books that discusses the topic of sin is the amazing book of Ibn al
Qayyim called 'ad Daa'u wad Dawaa' The disease and the cure. I hope bi
idhnillaah to post some of the short chapters from this book hoping we can take
lessons and purify our souls from the sickness of sin!

He mentions (Rahmatullaahi alaihi) Chapter: Sins are a cause of being prevented
from the Da'wah supplication os the messenger and the Angels.

And from the effects of sins is being prevented from the Da'wah of Rasoolullah
(sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) and the Da'wah of the Angels. For indeed Allaah
ordered His messenger to seek forgivness for the believing men and women.
Allaah says; (explination of the meaning)

Those angels who bear the throne and those around it glorify the praises of their
Lord, and believe in Him, and ask forgivness for those who believe. Our Lord! you
comprehend all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who REPENT and
FOLLOW YOUR WAY, and save them from the tourment of the blazing fire! (surah
al Ghaafir, 7-9)

So this is the supplication of the angels for the the believers who repent and follow
His Book (Qur'aan) and the sunnah of His messenger, those who have no other
sabeel (path, way) other than these two (i.e. the book and sunnah), So other than
these could no way desire to be included in the answer of this supplication except if
they take on the characteristics that the caller is describing i.e. (the supplication of
the Angels)! wallaahul Musta'aan!

O Allaah grant us the ability to be of the people who have the characteristics
mentioned in the Aayah!

Wa sallallaahu alaa nabiyyinaa Muhammad wa alaa aalihi wa ashaabihi ajma'een.
