This is a general question posed regarding traveling in the NY area, particularly NYC, on the subways and LIRR. And the question is even more general actually, because I am not understanding if we are supposed to look at the distance traveled (around 80 km) or look at the different cities or...? to determine whether we are considered to be travelers or not. Can someone please shed some light on this, and New Yorkers will be able to address the first part of the question best inshaAllah.
