I would like to ask the students of knowledge, du'aat or anyone who knows what the people of knowledge have said the following question:

I know that Shaykh Rabee (hafidhahullaah) and other scholars studied the monumental reference work of fiqh, "Bidaayatul-Mujtahid" of Ibn Rushd.  I know that in the latter part of his life he was a muttakalim, but don't know what he was upon at the time when he compiled that.  Was he ever Salafee?
