Alhamdulillaah wassalaatu wassalaam ala rasulullaahi wa ba'd -
Imaam barbahaaree (rahimahullaah) says in Sharhus Sunnaah :
128. Whover prays behind an Imaam & doesnot follow him,there is no prayer for him.
We know that there is a hadeeth to this effect too that when the Imaam bows then we bow & prostrate when he prostrates.But the Question that i have in my mind for a while is that, we here in India have to pray Salah behind the Hanafi Imaams & as everyone knows they donot do Raf Al Yadain & they have a different way of performing Sajdah Sahw & Salaatul Witr also the in the number of takbeers for Salatul Eid.
1. So if a person who prays behind them & performs raf Al Yadain then does he come in the prohibition mentioned in this hadeeth?
2. The Hanafis perform Sajdah Sahw by reciting part of the Tashahhud & then says Salaam to one side & then make 2 sajdah & then again recite the whole tashahhud & give salaam. So what should the one praying behind them do since we know that this is not correct?
3.Is it Ok if we don't perform Salaatul Witr behind them & if we donot perform it behinfd them then are we missing the reward of praying with the imaam & hence the reward of praying the whole night.
5.Can we pray behind the DEOBANDIS as we know from their books & the books of their imaams that they follow the tareeqas of Qadariyyah, Chishtiyyah,Saharwardiyyah, Matureediyyah,Ashari'ah?
I request the brothers who know of any Fatawaa related to these isssues to please post them here or the students of knowledge to answer these issues or atleast present then to the 'Ulamaa since these are issues which have become a source of fitnah among some youth in Bangalore & they donot pray behind the Deobandi Hanafis .
