Please could someone also explain whether or not it is permissible for a woman to correct the recitation of a male imaam if the men present are mahram and are unable to correct it?

As salaamu alaikum warahmatullah

What is the fiqh with regards to correcting the imaam if he makes a mistake in his recitation? say for example he swaps the placing of letters?

A brother told me that if the imaam makes such a mistake then it can be excused as it messes the rythm of the imaam???

could the tulab ul ilm please shed some light on this.
