In the Name of Allaah, Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem

Shaykh Fawzan mentions,in the link, that the calculation for midnight starts at magrib (sunset) and ends at the rise of fajr (dawn). Why is this important? One reason is that it lets us know when Isha ends. And Allaah knows best.

Another reason to know how to determine the start and end of the night is to know when the last third of the night begins for tahajjud.
