Assalaamu Alaykum

I am a new muslim and I was studying how to do Eid Salah and I noticed that even though the majority of desciptions of the salah are identical, I saw that some state that one should say the Thana'. I understand it is sunnah to say it but what exactly is Thana'? Please I really need to know this. Jazak'Allah Khayr

Thanaa' means praising, and glorifying. so when the speaker says do thanaa of Allaah he means praise Allaah by saying sub7ana Allaah, Alhamdulilah etc
